  • Anthony Woods - Discipline, Motivation & Confidence
    May 13 2024

While hunting and fishing provide a life changing opportunity for most. Our bodies and our minds, are truly the foundation for who we are, and what we are able to do. Especially as we get older, it becomes more important we live a life we are proud of day after day, but that takes sacrifice and a lot of work.

I am captivated by the resilience of a body builder, because your body cannot lie. What accomplishments you may have once made, your body quickly forgets. Therefore, it is only up to you, to work all over again and make yourself again. This is no easy task. If it was easy, than everybody would be ripped. But somehow it seems like only few people are able to dedicate their lives to this discipline. I believe that this discipline is important in everything we do, whether that be in the outdoors or our personal lives. In, this podcast, Anthony breaks down finding the motivation day after day & the feeling of finding confidence and living into your best self.

  • 5 Meditations on the Outdoors with Gregg Shaw
    Oct 25 2023

Gregg Shaw is a co-owner of Ampal Creative, fly-fisherman, and hunter. He has spent many years fly fishing for many years, and also a bird hunter and adventurer. Through these experiences, Gregg has found certain practices and thoughts that are to me very helpful to find what success and even happiness might mean.

Mastery, perfection and simple, are his approach. We talk a lot about expectations, dopamine, comparison and many other things we might feel while calling ourselves a hunter. I think the insights Gregg shares can help all of us find a little more wisdom in our journey into being not just quality hunters and fishermen but good people.
