  • 006 - Doug Buettner on Identifying Truly Anomalous UAP, Debunking Balloons, and Investigations Near Skinwalker Ranch
    Sep 29 2024

    Guest Info:

    - Doug is Deputy Chief Scientist of The Acquisition Innovation Research Center. Early in his career, he created the very first aerogel used by NASA. Doug is a member of SCU.

    Topics:

    - What tech systems do we need to do a better job sorting mundane UAP from genuinely anomalous ones?

    - Doug walks us through the steps and tools used to definitively identify a UAP as a party balloon.

    - He talks about his project of purchasing and studying anomalies at a piece of land near Skinwalker Ranch.

    - We argue over whether studying UAP is like studying dark matter, and whether dark matter is even “real”. (pt 2)

  • 005 - Chris Mellon on UAP, National Security, & Government Accountability
    Sep 12 2024

Christopher Mellon is without a doubt one of the most important figures in the modern history of this subject. As Deputy Assistant Director of National Security for Security and Information Operations, he had access to America's most sensitive secrets and intelligence, and from that vantage point he determined that the UAP subject wasn't being given the serious attention that it deserved as a national security issue. After long efforts to raise the issue within the government, he brought unclassified military footage of UAP to the New York Times, which published it on the front page in 2017, reigniting serious public interest in a subject that had received little attention for decades. We take the opportunity to ask Chris to help us understand the government's complicated and often fraught relation to the UAP subject.

    Topics:

    • Is there a disclosure scenario that doesn't inevitably lead to a global disinformation war between enemy nations?
    • Do government have perverse incentives to portray UAP as enemy threats (say, in order to encourage social unity)?
    • How can we know when to trust governments's statements about a subject that's so historically and politically fraught?
    • What is the future of the UAP subject in the US and globally?
    • In what ways is the UAP subject more than a national security issue?

  • 004 - Garry Nolan on Reverse Engineering UAP, SOL Foundation, and Paradigm Shifts
    Aug 29 2024

    Guest Info:

    • Garry is a professor at Stanford Medical School, where he’s an immunologist and cancer researcher. He has published over 300 research articles, holds over 50 US patents, and has founded multiple publicly-traded companies listed on the NASDAQ. He’s also co-founder, with David Grusch and Peter Skafish, of the SOL Foundation, a policy think-tank, advisory board, and fund for serious research into UAP.

    Topics:

    • What is the SOL Foundation's role in the future of UAP research?
    • How do you think through the landscape of theories about what UAP are?
    • Is reverse engineering even possible if the tech is vastly more advanced than ours? Leonardo da Vinci couldn’t reverse engineer a smartphone, after all.
    • Is a materialist, scientific worldview getting in the way of studying anomalous phenomena?

  • 003 - Julia Mossbridge on the connections between ESP, AI, UAP, and Love
    Aug 14 2024

    Guest info:

Julia Mossbridge earned her MA in neuroscience from UC San Francisco, and her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University. In addition to being the founder and research director of the Mossbridge Institute. She is the co-founder and board chair of The Institute for Love and Time, an affiliate professor at University of San Diego in the Dept. of Physics and Biophysics, the acting CEO of LightRoot Quantum, and a member of SCU.

    Topics:

    • What do psi phenomena have to do with the study of UAP?

    • Is the study of psi empirical science? I modern empirical science really as empirical as it pretends to be?

    • What do AI, UAP, psi, and unconditional love have to do with one another?

  • 002 - Kevin Knuth on Studying Scientific Anomalies, Simulating Star Systems, and Possible UAP Origins
    Aug 13 2024

    Guest Info:

    • Dr. Kevin Knuth is professor of astronomy and physics at University of Albany, a science advisor for UAPx, a former NASA scientist, and a member of SCU.

    Topics:

    • How do we rigorously study something we don’t have a clear conception of, like “unidentified, anomalous phenomena”?
    • Do UAP demand a revolution in our scientific understanding of reality itself?
    • Kevin explains his project of simulating star systems within our galaxy, to see how many produce civilizations that get off their planet and find Earth.
    • What’s the most plausible theory about what UAP are and where they come from?

    Topics:

    • What does SCU do? What’s the history of the organization? Why does it have a podcast?
    • How is SCU different from other UFO organizations? How is this podcast different from other shows on the topic?
    • How does SCU approach, define, and study UAP? Does SCU study other anomalies like ghosts, telepathy, or Bigfoot? Why or why not?

    Guest Info:

    • Larry Hancock: Larry’s education is in anthropology and history. He’s the author of multiple books dealing with cold war history, clandestine operations, and hybrid warfare. Larry is a board member of SCU.
    • Richard Hoffman: Richard is an operations manager and consultant for NASA, and a board member of SCU.
    • Robert Powell: Robert is a chemist and engineer, a UAP historian, the former director of research for MUFON, and a board member of SCU.
