Entitled “The Sanctifying Spirit,” Dr. Noble unpacks the Old and New Testament images of the Spirit and the work of the Spirit in the life of Jesus, in order to see why the Spirit is the basis both historically and experientially of the sanctification of the individual believer.     Accomplished scholar and Nazarene theologian Tom Noble presents the first of three lectures on "Holiness and the Holy Trinity," as part of the annual Chamberlain Holiness Lectures at Wesley Biblical Seminary. In this first part, he uses the festivals of Israel to catalog the characteristics of the God revealed in the Old Testament as "father" to Israel, and how those characteristics are fully illuminated and revealed from "within" by Jesus Christ as recorded in the New Testament.     In this episode, we’re going back to the archives for a message from the late Dennis Kinlaw, founder of the Francis Asbury Society and a great evangelist, preacher, and teacher of the gospel. This message was recorded in 2006 at the Commencement ceremonies of WBS. Dr. Kinlaw spoke to the graduates on the nature of God revealed by Jesus in chapters 13 through 17 of the gospel of John. Dr. Kinlaw passed away in 2017, but this is a message that lives on as one we need to hear today.
