    In this episode of The Christian Wellbeing Show, host Michelle Simpson interviews Professor Lisa Oakley about the sensitive but very real topic of Spiritual Abuse. They discuss the definition of spiritual abuse as a form of psychological or emotional abuse characterised by highly controlling, coercive behaviour in a religious context. They explore the different characteristics and effects of spiritual abuse and its impact on trust, faith and relationships. They also discuss the integration of spiritual abuse with other forms of abuse such as domestic abuse. The conversation emphasises the importance of recognising spiritual abuse, raising awareness of it, and helping to create healthy Christian cultures.
