Biden delivered the same angry speech that he had previously given at his recent State of the Union address and before that in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. The speech is filled with falsehoods and mischaracterizations. The speech shows that Biden sees himself as the greatest president in the nation's history as he saves the nation from the diabolical villain Donald Trump, who is a threat to democracy as well as decency and goodness. In selecting Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, Kamala Harris went for left, embracing a left-wing radical who refused to send the National Guard to quell the BLM riots in Minneapolis in 2020 and who has made Minnesota a sanctuary for children who want to get sex-change surgeries even if their parents disapprove. I don't think the nation is as far left as Walz and Harris. If I'm wrong America will be in bad shape.

On July 29, 2024, Pres. Joe Biden announced a proposal to reform the Supreme Court because he contends the Court has become an extreme MAGA Court that threatens our democracy. Biden asks Congress to pass laws making terms of 18 years for Supreme Court Justices, and making a code of ethics that the Court must follow. There is no chance his proposal will go anywhere; this is just a political act to try to paint the Supreme Court as extreme and dangerous, and to help defeat Trump in November. On July 21, 2024, Pres. Joe Biden issued a letter stating that he was dropping out of the race as a candidate for President. A short time later, Biden issued another statement supporting Kamala Harris as candidate for President. Key Democrat leaders have yet to endorse Harris. Harris is not likely to beat Trump because she has just as many deficits as did Biden--just a different set of weaknesses. Democrats are stuck with Harris because of DEI priorities.

The assassination attempt on Donald Trump that took place on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Butler, PA was not successful. Unfortunately, the shooter did kill one attendee and seriously injured two others. Secret Service failed to maintain an adequate lookout during the rally. This failure is unacceptable. This event will increase the support for Trump; his supporters believe God is protecting Trump. The photo of Trump raising a clenched fist, with blood on his face, with the American flag in the background will be an iconic photo that will be a part of American history for years to come.

Paul discusses five new Supreme Court cases, each of which is important politically and otherwise in this Presidential Election year.
In Trump v. US, the Supreme Court recognized that a President is immune from prosecution for his official acts. This is a tremendous victory for Trump, and it will eliminate some of the criminal charges against him. Liberals complain that this is a wrong decision that puts the President above the law. That is a shallow reading of what happened. The politicized Biden DOJ ignored its own recognition that Presidents are entitled to great deference, and they tried to use every theory they could think of to prosecute former president Trump. The DOJ abused the justice system for political purposes, which eventually led to the Supreme Court's weighing in on some of the issues. The result in Trump v. US was not surprising, and is reasonable, and is not political, and I believe is pretty good.
In Fischer v. US, the Supreme Court held 6-3 that Section 1512 of the US Code is limited in scope to the obstruction or destruction of documents and evidence, and that it is not a broad statute criminalizing a broad spectrum of actions that could obstruct a proceeding. This is a major victory for Trump and for many of the Jan. 6th rioters.
The Loper Bright Enterprises case (6-3) is very important because it checks the power of governmental agencies to have almost total control over the extent of their power. This case overturned the 1984 case of Chevron, that gave too much power to agencies. This will allow the Court to rein in agencies such as the EPA that have been directed by the Biden Administration to adopt and establish draconian and economically harmful policies in a futile effort to stop climate change.
In the Grants Pass, Oregon case, the Supreme Court rejected the novel new right created by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, that would have created special rights of homeless people that would prevent cities from excluding homeless camps in parks and on streets.
In Moyle v. US, the Supreme Court upheld a lower court injunction that prevents the new, Idaho, anti-abortion law from taking effect until the Supreme Court can review it. This has immediate political ramifications, and Trump has supported the Moyle ruling.

Biden's performance at the June 27th debate was horrendous. Immediately after the debate, Democrat strategists and the media were calling for Biden to quit the campaign in order to avoid a devastating defeat in November. Biden was frequently coherent, and his appearance was as bad as his words. Trump, on the other hand, was sharp, disciplined and most effective in letting Biden destroy himself. We'll see how the Democrat party deals with this.

The upcoming debate between Pres. Biden and former President Trump is necessary for Biden to help him secure his party's nomination and support. Biden appears confused and incompetent much of the time, and Biden has the lowest support of any incumbent President ever.
A Texas doctor was arrested for exposing the work of a Dallas hospital to give gender-affirming treatment to children. Many people regard such treatment as abusive mutilation of a minor. The doctor is charged with violating some HIPPA laws.
A family in Vermont was removed from the list of qualified foster parents because they do not subscribe to the belief that gender-affirming procedures can be good for minors.
A Louisiana law would require the Ten Commandments to be posted in every classroom in public schools.
