  • Season 4 Episode 6: “An EFFing Reflection”
    Jul 8 2024

In this episode, we catch up with each other since starting Season 4, as we both have had a lot of things happening in our personal journeys. Also, we wanted to share with our listeners that we want to shake things up a bit and start introducing conversations that might be more uncomfortable and taboo. With a world so divided at the moment, we want to have honest, open and respectful conversations about topics that might, for some, be a little uncomfortable. We feel that it’s because people can’t talk about these things in respectful ways that we are so divided at the moment. So, we want to open our space up to views that might differ from ours and come from a place of curiosity and understanding versus judgment. The EFF IT moments will still be our main conversations, but we wanted to change things up a bit moving forward. If there are topics you would like to hear us talk about, please share. Nothing is off the table! If you’re interested in following the projects we are working on, please go to www.herpowerpins.com and @herpowerpins on Instagram to follow Carla’s work. • Season 4 Episode 4: "It All EFFing Comes Back to Us!"
    Jun 24 2024

In this episode, we speak with Jenilee Dowling, a madre of one that said EFF IT to worrying about the idea of whether moving her child around to different places at a young age was a bad thing for him because it wasn’t a good experience for her growing up when she was moved around. She had to recognize that her son is a different person, and the way that she and her partner are bringing their son into the decision making when it comes to making moves is very different to when she and her family moved around growing up. You just have to EFFing remember that it comes down to us in regards to how we present things to our kids. If we make something bad and scary, then they will see it as bad and scary. The same goes for the opposite. Also, remembering that letting our kids see us go through different emotions, and how we handle and regulate ourselves will show them how they should regulate themselves, and that’s a huge lesson to learn that a lot of us didn’t receive from our parents/caregivers. It all comes back to us! To check Jenilee and her offerings, go to www.readingsbyjenilee.as.me, and @jenileedowling on Instagram.

  • Season 4 Episode 1: “Just Effing Let Others Figure It Out!“
    Jun 3 2024

In our 1st episode for Season 4, we interviewed Ash Kelsch, who said EFF IT and decided to go back and heal the relationship she had with her mother once she became an empty nester herself. She had put everything aside from herself first, and realized that in order to be the mother her kids will continue to need, she need to go back and heal herself by facing the trauma and the rollercoaster of a relationship she had with her mother. It’s a tough thing to do because even as adults, it can be hard for us to look at our parents and not feel all the things that would come up for us when we were kids. But, in order to move past all that, we have to get to a place where we can look at our parents as the flawed humans they, and we all are, and know that they were doing the best they could. We really are the ones that know what it is we truly need, so it’s important to really sit down and EFFing figure out what that is so that you can move forward in your life in a happy and healthy way. To follow Ash, please check her podcast called “Wait, What?” at www.ashleykelsch.substack.com, and on Instagram at @ashkelsch.
