"The Impact of the Protestant Work Ethic" with Warren Linton

  • Resumen

  • Warren Linton turns our attention to the idea of the "Protestant Work Ethic" as it was first described by Max Weber and later adapted and understood by those in predominantly protestant influenced cultures. In what ways does the protestant work ethic help us to understand the place of work in our lives? And in what ways does it lead us to misplace our attention and affections on work and so contribute to our struggles to find assurance in God.  Warren guides us through these questions in a rich and interesting discussion on the place of work in our lives.

A note that this will be the last episode for this year. The "Workplace & Faith Workshops" are taking a break over Christmas and the (Australian) Summer holidays. When the Zoom based Workshops recommence this podcast will also restart. In the meantime, have a blessed and wonderful Christmas and New Year.
