So, grab a cup of tea, get comfortable, and let's talk about menopause!

Menopause is not a universal experience. Every woman will experience it differently. And now, thanks to the wonderful world that we live in and the acceptance of different genders, we can now recognise the transgender perspective and the gender identity perspective.

Today I had a wonderful conversation with Kelly Libarios and Emery Fung who shared their experience with hormonal transitions. Emery who was assigned female at birth and has transitioned into a male and Kelly who was assigned male at birth and has now transitioned into female. We learn about how their hormones played an impact on their mental and physical health and how this has impacted their day-to-day quality of life and work performance.

I love this conversation with Kelly and Emery. They are such inspiring human beings and I hope that this conversation gives you some takeaways on how to think about menopause in general, in society, in the workplace, and how to have conversations with many different people about menopause.

I hope this conversation spurs you on to bring the conversation to your workplace and change how women's health is viewed and the solutions that are available to them.

Don't forget to subscribe to The Podcast so you never miss an episode. We're here to be your companion and guide through every step of the menopause process.

Until next time, keep being the strong, resilient woman you are. Wishing you all the best on your menopause journey.

There are so many intersectionalities with menopause. Today I am talking to the beautiful Noelle Sinclair, who has a company called Diverse Minds. Noelle talks very frankly with us about her diagnosis with ASD, and her diagnosis with ADHD, and how menopause and perimenopause in particular impacted this.

If you are managing neurodiversity like ASD and ADHD, this conversation is so important because our hormones play an integral role and can be impacted dramatically during the menopause transition.

Noel holds space a few times per week for free conversations regarding neurodiversity; what you're going through, to maybe ask questions and to be signposted to the right people to possibly get a diagnosis or to manage the solutions.

Please reach out to Noelle or share with somebody who you feel may need this.

As women, our mental health is something that we often put to the side. We put the stress and anxiety feelings down to things that we are going through in life, whether that is being in the workplace, leading in the workplace, possibly climbing the career ladder, as well as being a care giver to maybe children at home, or possibly caring for our elderly parents.

As we transition through midlife and our estrogen levels start to drop, particularly in our late 30s and in our 40s, we don't relate the stress and anxiety we are feeling down to this hormonal transition.

This conversation with Dr. Siadi is one that I am so proud of and so grateful for because mental health was one of the biggest areas in my menopause transition that I suffered with. It impacted my memory, my concentration levels and it increased my anxiety.

Dr. Ziadi discuss the key areas of our mental health that are most impacted during the menopause transition and strategies that we can put in place to manage these. I hope you can take away one or two actionable points to put in place to make your transition a little bit more positive but if you are struggling and you do need some extra help, then please do reach out to Dr. Ziaidi.
