    Alliance, a network of baby banks across the UK providing a vital

    lifeline for struggling families. Sophie was previously founding CEO

    of City Year UK, a charity enabling young people to tackle inequality

    through doing a year of voluntary service in schools. In 2020 she was

    awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to

    charity. Soph also happens to be one of my

Martha is an expert in parenting, child development and pediatric health and specialises in helping children and their parents cope by taking a more holistic approach to parenting. Before focusing on parenting, Martha developed the annual review of psychology protocol for Cystic Fibrosis and set up Teen and Young Adult Cancer services at Guy’s hospital. She also has her own podcast, Talking Sense, where she makes sense of everyday behaviours for struggling parents.

Arriving in the UK from Australia at the age of 21 Jo has had an astounding career in the fashion and magazine world. Jo now writes a weekly substack and hosts the successful podcast Fame, where she discussed the psychological impacts of fame with celebrities. We discuss everything from raising a child in the world of women's magazines to the policy changes she wants to see from the next government.

    Today on The Mummafesto I’m joined by campaigner and activist Rosamund Kissi Debrah. Rosamund’s incredible campaigning work followed the death of her nine-year-old daughter Ella. The inquest into Ella’s death made legal history by ruling that air pollution was one of the causes of Ella's death. Rosmund has since co-founded the Ella Robert Family Foundation, providing support for children with asthma and campaigning for cleaner air.

    Rosamund has worked with the Mayor of London on the Healthy London Partnership and also campaigned for the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone. Rosamund is also a WHO advocate for health and air quality.

    In episode 12 I chat to writer, campaigner and one of my oldest friends Natasha Pearlman. Natasha is currently the Executive Editor of Glamour Magazine and is the editorial lead for Glamour’s women of the year awards and oversees Glamour’s political content. Natasha has previously held roles at Grazia, Elle, News UK and the Daily Mail. Most recently, Natasha has has campaigned for legislative change to implement paid leave and maternity rights across America, gaining support for the campaign from Vice President Kamala Harris.

    In episode 11 I speak to Sarah Ockwell-Smith. Sarah is a parenting expert and is often credited as being the founder of the 'gentle parenting' movement and is vocal about childism (the unconscious discrimination of children in society). Sarah has authored 15 books, translated into over 30 languages, which have sold over half a million copies. Her latest book ‘How to Raise a Teen’ is published in July 2024. We discussed everything from what her children think of her parenting advice to changes she wants to see in the education sector.
