  • PART I - Why you can’t get consistent breast cancer nutrition information
    Jul 8 2024

Ever feel that if you ask 10 different people what you should eat after hormone-driven breast cancer you’ll get 10 different answers? You’re not alone! One of the most common frustrations I hear from other hormone-driven breast cancer survivors is that it feels impossible to get consistent information about what to eat and avoid after they finish their treatment. If that’s your struggle too, join me here for PART I of “Why you can’t get consistent breast cancer nutrition information”. I define and explain “voodoo” nutrition and discuss the potential harm of following inaccurate nutrition guidelines and advice.

  • Perfect is the Enemy of Good
    Jul 1 2024

Striving for “perfect” eating is the goal of many post-treatment survivors; perhaps you, too! You and I both know that in your mind eating “perfectly” feels like protection against recurrence. You’re thinking, “If I just eat well enough, cancer will be deterred enough to never, ever come back.” I know that makes sense in the moment you’re fighting the urge to order a burger and fries, but trust me when I say, that thought will only lead you down a path littered with shame and blame. Join me in this episode as I dig into the concept of “good enough” eating, and abandoning the “perfection-at-all-costs” approach.

  • Why Your Dietary Pattern Matters
    Jun 24 2024

I know that should you experience a recurrence you'll think your potato chip habit is to blame , but I’m here to tell you nutrition doesn’t work that way. Individual foods you eat regularly won’t trigger a recurrence of your breast cancer, but it can be difficult to counter that thought with a healthy, balanced perspective. Tune in to today’s episode and learn the importance and impact of your dietary pattern, two foods that are associated with increased cancer risk, and my number one tip for creating your own health-supportive dietary pattern!
