    Jun 24 2024

I know that should you experience a recurrence you'll think your potato chip habit is to blame , but I’m here to tell you nutrition doesn’t work that way. Individual foods you eat regularly won’t trigger a recurrence of your breast cancer, but it can be difficult to counter that thought with a healthy, balanced perspective. Tune in to today’s episode and learn the importance and impact of your dietary pattern, two foods that are associated with increased cancer risk, and my number one tip for creating your own health-supportive dietary pattern!

  • Introducing The Peaceful Plate: My Story
    May 24 2024

In this inaugural episode I share details of my own breast cancer experience and how I turned something awful into something purposeful - in other words - the story of how I got to where I am today. As an uber-healthy, vegan-diet eating, half-marathon-running dietitian and personal trainer, being diagnosed with breast cancer rocked my world and made me very angry; the only way I knew to feel better was to channel that corrosive anger into action. Blending my professional expertise as a dietitian with my personal experience of breast cancer is a path I never imagined my future self walking. . .but here we are. Tune in to this episode to hear how helping others continues to help me heal, and how serving a particular group of breast cancer survivors is that “something purposeful” I was looking for.
