  • Obianuju Iloanya is an activist and social justice advocate. Together with millions of Nigeria, she was at the forefront of the #EndSars protest of October 2020 which called for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Sqaud (SARS) and police brutality in Nigeria. She’s also a researcher, TEDx speaker and Green Academy Fellow. In this episode, Obianuju tells the story of her brother’s disappearance at the hands of the infamous Akwuzu SARS. We also discuss the callousness of the Nigerian Police, James Nwafor and how we can effectively combat police brutality in Nigeria.
