  • No More Mr. Nice Guy with Jason Lange
    Aug 13 2024

You’ve probably dated a self-confessed ‘nice guy’ before: someone who paid for all the dinners, got you flowers, and was great with all your friends. But where a true nice guy and a not-so-genuine nice guy differ is in their authenticity and their expectations of what they deserve to receive from doing so! We’re breaking down how you can spot the difference in this week’s episode! Our guest is Jason Lang, a men’s embodiment coach, group facilitator, and evolutionary guide, aiming to provide opportunities and support for men’s personal growth. He’s also a certified ‘No More Mr Nice Guy’ coach, a program for men struggling with a fear of making women uncomfortable, which can then in turn hold them back from forming authentic connections. With society’s strongly conflicting views of how a typical ‘man’ should act when it comes to pursuing women, it can be difficult to find a healthy balance. Jason helps open our eyes to a male’s view of relationships, and how their partners can support them in healthy expressions of their emotions. We discuss the power of give-and-take in relationships and encourage those newly dating to create a safe space for both sides to share their needs and desires - you’ll be shocked at the difference in can make between a fizzle-out and forever. Forget about men being from Mars - they’re also just trying to get by in the same dating world as we are!

    We’re taking a different perspective:
🙅‍♂️ Benefits of embodiment practices for men (and their partners!)
🙅‍♂️ Leadership in relationships - the power of being able to lead and also follow
🙅‍♂️ Mutual trust allows for vulnerability for both sides of a relationship
🙅‍♂️ What makes a ’nice guy’: good intentions and covert contracts

All the red flags that were too hard to ignore, all the time wasted, all the disappointing ends to relationships: it’s enough to make you give up on the idea of dating entirely! Even for the most confident of women, those bad dating experiences can shatter your confidence and make you question everything. Whether you’re asking yourself if you can cope with getting hurt and rejected again, or if you’re worried you’ll just repeat the same patterns over and over again, it can be incredibly intimidating to put yourself back out there. But take a deep breath, lift your chin up, and get ready to take that leap! On this week’s episode, I’m addressing the biggest problem I hear from women all the time: how do I get back into the game without being so scared I’ll get hurt again? I’m giving you my strategies for success, from building and practising your relationship skills outside of the dating game, to looking deep inside for what you truly want out of a relationship and then having the confidence to not accept anything less. Remember that ALL of your emotions are always valid - I’m encouraging you to embrace vulnerability as your superpower, not your weakness!

  • Why Women Worry About Being Alone Forever: Healing Past Trauma to Get You Back in the Dating Game with Phoebe Rogers
    Jul 30 2024

It’s a classic catch-22: women worry that they’ll be alone forever, but also worry they don’t deserve true love. They’re too scared to reenter the dating world after ending yet another bad relationship that brought all their worst inner fears back to the surface. They might be left feeling like a small, scared child - and that’s exactly where this is all coming from, according to our guest this week, Phoebe Rogers! Phoebe is a clinical psychologist who specialises in dealing with ‘inner child trauma’, or to put it more simply, personality traits that have been created by wounds and unmet needs from our childhood and have stuck around to adulthood. She’s also extended her therapy expertise into the dating world, and we’re discussing some of her experiences coaching women and couples on healing that past trauma to become confident and attract real connections again. Embodying the spirit of what The Relationship Circle podcast is all about, Phoebe shares her best strategies for increasing your self-worth, becoming genuine in both the dating and relationship stages, and having a healthy connection with your own feelings and emotions. Phoebe takes our inner child by the hand as she guides us to recognising that the negative relationship patterns and narratives we keep telling ourselves are fact, are nothing more than fiction.

Some of Phoebe’s best advice in this episode:
👩‍👧 Healing your inner child: schema therapy, self-reflection, and showing kindness all parts of yourself (the good and the bad!)
👩‍👧 Releasing fears and rebuilding self-confidence when reentering the dating game
👩‍👧 Being authentic and realistic about what YOU want from a relationship
👩‍👧 Breaking dating patterns that aren’t working, and rebuilding ones that actually serve us

  • Reminding People What It Means To Be HUMAN Again With Devon Ash
    Jul 16 2024

When was the last time you heard someone say they ‘picked up’ their new date at a bar? And whilst it’s so easy to swipe left or right when you’re hidden behind your keyboard, could you do it in person to someone’s face? Here to remind us of the lost art that is offline social skills is Devon Ash, a communication and relationship coach (and co-founder of professional coaching company Social Fluency) who specialises in helping singles find love through real-world engagement. As society becomes more and more digital, our social interactions are suffering as we lose confidence and ability in previously ‘normal’ situations like professional networking - and dating. Devon takes a light-hearted and gentle approach to reteaching skills that were previously a core part of society, but now strike fear or exhaustion in even the most experienced of dating singles. We’ll dive into anxiety-inducing scenarios (being stuck talking to a stranger in the grocery aisle, anyone?) and how we can reframe our mindset and become more open to new experiences with new people. Devon explains how we can navigate the modern world of dating and learn to embrace the evolution of social interactions.

    We’re going to chat about:
☎️ Technology and the ‘digital age’, and the effect of this on relationships
☎️ Creating boundaries and becoming assertive as women
☎️ Recognising the potential in people and allowing time for growth
☎️ Social skills: tips and tricks to master the art of conversation

Listen to my conversation with Devon this week, as we go back to our roots as humans and remind ourselves that we have the ability to win friends and influence people on our own terms!

Whilst you’re practising your real life social interactions, if you want to connect with Devon he is still happy to chat on his socials, or you can head to his website for more resources.
