Episode 7 - Steroids

The discussion of steroids in pro-wrestling is a never ending one. The subject has been around for decades and always will be, probably. This week, Stevie Richards will discuss the steroid culture in pro-wrestling past and present and the impact it has had on his career and the careers of his friends in the business. He will also shed some light on WWE's drug testing policies from his own personal experiences. The inconsistencies, the hypocrisy and the down right unfairness of how it was applied to some but not others.

Stevie Richards surprised, entertained and informed the wrestling world in 2023 when he debuted the Stevie Richards' Wrestling Analysis YouTube channel to widespread critical acclaim. Combining his experience in the wrestling profession with his keen eye for detail and a passion for teaching fans and workers alike, Richards achieved over 100,000 YouTube subscribers in a matter of months with his short form videos explaining exactly what went right or wrong in a particular match or manoeuvre.

With 30+ years working for nearly every major American promotion during their hottest periods (ECW, WCW, WWE, TNA), Stevie Richards is not only dusting off his patented whiteboard and marker to once again break down the psychology and physicality of this crazy business, but Stevie is now adding to his repertoire by debuting a weekly show, imaginatively titled The Stevie Richards Show.

The "show" in The Stevie Richards Show is the key word - this will not be another run of the mill podcast recorded on Zoom, clipped up and posted 8 times a day on YouTube and featuring a disinterested ex pro wrestler out to make a quick buck. What makes The Stevie Richards Show a "show" will be the attention to detail given to every episode, including added on screen annotations, factoids, images and video and 4K camera set up to give the sharpest, best looking, broadcast quality videos on YouTube. Most importantly of all, The Stevie Richards Show's output will be about quality, not quantity. Every Friday, Stevie Richards and co-host James Romero (WSI | Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Story Time with Dutch Mantell) will discuss the latest news, delve deep into the wrestling profession with more detail and first hand experience than any other podcast, answer fan submitted questions and, yes, break out the whiteboard to break down the what went right, or wrong, in the wrestling world.
