I had no idea what to expect but if you think it would be fascinating to be in a book club with Barack Obama (a man who is very into books), then this is a great book for you. The books they discuss are fascinating. The guests are varied, knowledgeable and challenge our thoughts on a wide range of topics. Taken together with President Obama’s intellect and unique personal and professional experience, the result is a terrific listen. But! We need more! Please :)

It is always wonderful to hear President Obama’s voice. He discussed five wonderful books with wonderful guests, engaged them thoughtfully, with humor and joy but also handled the discussion well when the topics were intense and challenging. He had an amazing ability to talk about any topic with poise and whether you agree with him or not you feel both heard and informed. I loved that he spoke about the state of young men, as a mom of two teenagers I appreciated the focus. Hopefully this is the start of a series of these. Thank you Barack!
