I've already listened twice and am thinking I'll be listening again very soon. Connor is the freaking MAN. So glad he's getting popular as a narrator, b/c I can't get enough of his deep voice. Oy vay!
And man... this book. I loved it so much. No angst coupled with swoons and hilarious moments but none of it felt fake or unrealistic. it gave me all the feels. Friends to lovers is my jam and Kayley gave me exactly what I wanted. I am in love with the hero's flirty abs and the side characters continue to crack me up. Love this series and love this book!

I didn’t know bridesmaid was code for babysitter for the bride’s brother, but if that’s what my best friend needs of me for her dream wedding to go off without a hitch, that’s what I’ll do. Even if Theo Monroe has been a pain in my rear since third grade. Even if he should be responsible enough to not wreak havoc at his sister’s destination wedding.

I'm a long time Pippa fan and will read/listen to anything she puts out. Was very excited to dig into this one. It was a nice pallet cleanser with a few funny moments and some good feels to warm the heart. I thought the first time the MMC/FMC were "on page" together was funny and even though I could see what was going to happen, it was still a great part of the book with the whole pool thing and the bug zapper (no spoilers).
While it wasn't my favorite Pippa book, it was still what you'd expect from a Pippa read/listen. She always delivers. Slapstick moments with memorable characters and some swoony moments thrown in with lower angst. I was wanting more spice, though. It felt like lots of build up w/ not enough face-fanning moments. But maybe I've just been reading dirtier stuff lately. LOL!!! Yeah, that's probably the case come to think of it.
Anyhow, I am looking forward to the next book in the series b/c I honestly loved the side character (Sabrina) more than the main FMC (hides behind face - not hating Laney, but Sabrina was just speaking to me and I can't wait to see what happens with her new boss). The narrators did a great job bringing it to life and it was an enjoyable story. Long live Pippa Grant! All hail the queen!

I, Cooper Rock, baseball god, worshipper of women, hometown hero, beloved son and brother, and owner of a well-deserved ego, have always reached for the stars. Usually in baseball. In love? Nah. When you’ve played the field as much as I have and haven’t been bit by the bug, you’re immune. Or so I thought until she walked back into my life.

Pippa is my #1, all time favorite author for RomComs. Hands down. No wavering. And this books proves why. The long awaited story of Cooper Rock, golden son of Shipwreck and Fireballs royalty. And it didn’t disappoint one bit. The sweet moments in this story were so heartwarming. Copper’s inner monologue was hilarious. The plot was well thought out. The jokes and pranks were great but not over the top. There was so much love among the entire team, all the past Pippa verse characters and the family. Waverly was a great character and the perfect match for Cooper.
And that epilogue. The PERFECT ending for Fireballs loving Cooper. I cried happy tears at the end. So much love for this book. 10/10 stars.
And Connor Crais was amazing as Cooper. His voice is delicious and delivery was spot on.
Mackenzie did a great Waverly too. I loved everything about this book and smiled from start to finish.
Pippa is back in her sweet spot. Amazing! Highly recommend.

Dear Mr. Vega: I felt it necessary to follow up on today’s meeting, since we weren’t able to speak candidly in front of your son. I was shocked to discover that you are Ryder’s dad. I think it would be best if we just pretend that we met in person for the first time today. Your son is a very bright (flirtatious and talkative) student and since his education is a top priority for both of us, I hope I can count on you to respectfully refrain from grinning at me, using that sexy tone of voice, and undressing me with your annoyingly beautiful brown eyes....

Story
He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

I’ll start by saying, I’m a huge Pippa fan.
That said, I feel like lately I haven’t always been in the mood for silly, slapstick characters. At the start of this story, I’m ashamed to say I rolled my eyes once or twice at Begonia and some of her dog’s antics. HOWEVER (yes, in cap), all that changes somewhere around 30% in when I truly connected with both Begonia and Hayes. I audibly sighed with hand to heart so many times. And I cried a few times too! At a Pippa book! And it was simply because of how much I could feel these characters and all they’d gone through. I loved this book! Loved the new characters brought to the (hopefully still in tact) Pippaverse and have found another book I can’t wait to re-read.
It’s loaded with one liners, quirky characters and heartwarming moments, including a touching grand gesture that was a perfect. Grant delivered a beautiful story of love, hope, learning to trust again, and finding your joy.
Highly recommend!
The narrators performance, as always was perfect and I think she found the perfect pair to bring them too life. Five big, gleaming stars!

I, Tillie Jean Rock, am not in love with my brother’s teammate. Sure, he might have those biceps and that “I am the grouchiest of grouchy bears” smolder, and he might shovel snow off his driveway next door wearing nothing but boxer shorts and rubber boots, and he might be running a side business feeding all the stray goats in town, but studliness is only skin-deep.

Loved this book so much!!! Couldn't have been any more excited to go back to Shipwreck and it didn't disappoint one bit. So glad we got to see Grady and Annika as well as some of the other lovable characters we haven't seen for a few books. It felt like a great balance of Shipwreck fun while still keeping the focus on the main characters as their relationship built.
This book had all the Pippa laughs you'd expect and a heavy dose of heart. I appreciated the portrayal of Max's anxiety and loved how Cooper looked after him as a friend, without busting his balls for it. His chemistry with Tillie Jean was off the charts too. The narrators were amazing and my ears were as happy as my heart by the end. Definitely makes my list of books to re-read / re-listen!

So many laughs. I even shed a tear or two. I adored Kayley’s Headline series and am going to love this spin off just as much. Super funny bits, but nothing too cheesy or over the top. The cast of the Audiobook was fantastic! Loved it sooo much! Love the characters, the story, and the take on stand up comedy (which you don’t see often in romance…. But we totally should cause it was a great backdrop).
Well done Kayley and crew! Can’t wait for the next brother!

You know those stories where an adorably misunderstood, clumsy girl needs a fake date to a wedding so she asks her brother’s best friend and they accidentally fall in love? I wish that was the kind of life I lead, but it’s not. I don’t need a date to a wedding. I need a date to a funeral. And I don’t have a brother, or a best friend with a brother available, which means I’m stuck with Tyler Jaeger. Sure, he’s a professional hockey player who also knows advanced calculus, but let’s say we’re not compatible and leave it at that. I should know. I am a matchmaker.

I’m your neighborhood hot-mess single mom, doing my best to keep my head above water while running my little slice of heaven and keeping my youngest from shoving marbles up his nose - which is exactly what he’s doing the first time Levi Wilson, pop star god, world’s sexiest man, and my all-time number-one celebrity obsession, walks into my bookstore. And we had a moment. Like, a moment-moment. So when he proposes a no-strings fling? Count. Me. In. Thrill of a lifetime, right? Surely, nothing will go wrong.

Ever wonder what would happen if you ran into a superstar musician/former boy band whom you always had a huge crush? And then what if he was totally smitten with you and became everything you ever wanted to you and your kids, saving you from single motherhood insanity? This is that story! I love Levi Wilson and was sooo excited for his story! It did not disappoint. Ingrid is a hot mess mom of three, who honestly is probably more of a hot mess than most moms, but Levi is taken with her anyways. I laughed, I giggled, I cried a little bit too. The author delivers another fun story full of characters that you will fall in love with. And I love the little glimpses we get of past couples from the Pippaverse. So much heart and feels! Definitely a great story that will be a repeat listen for me.
As for the performance, it was a true duet style, which is a rare treat!! So nice to not have the male narrator doing awkward female voices and Vice Versa. However, my only critique is that his voice was sort of average and not very captivating for me. She was great, but he sounded like he was “reading” a few times and didn’t seem to get into the story enough. Especially during the sexy times. However, that said.... I would 100% listen again and it was really just a minor thing because I’m used to Joe Arden and some of the other big name male narrators who make me feel all squishy inside. This was still a very good performance and overall and outstanding read/listen. Bravo to all those involved in this production.
