Story
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Such a great book that is both entertaining and teaches about history in South Africa. Wish my kids could've listened to learn this too, but his language was too strong for me to share it with them.

If you're a logical person who doesn't like some fantasy because the capabilities of magic seem too limitless, this book is for you. He sets up a world with enough fantasy but enough boundaries to it that a more logical thinker will definitely enjoy. This is my favorite trilogy to date.

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

This was similar in style to Divinci Code but not quite as strong. Its good enough that if you're in the mood for that style and out of Dan Brown books then give it a try. Not exciting enough for me to seek out more from the author though.

Story
Ken Jennings is here to tell us that mother and father didn't always know best. Yes, all those years you were told not to sit too close to the television (you'll go blind!), or swallow your gum (it stays in your stomach for seven years!), or crack your knuckles (arthritis!) are called into question by our country's leading trivia guru. Jennings separates myth from fact to humorously debunk a wide variety of parental edicts: no swimming after meals, sit up straight, don't talk to strangers, you'll get worms from cookie dough, and so on.

Last Odd book for me
Reviewed: 04-23-14
I loved the first book and wanted more but this didn't give me what I was looking for. Lots of the uniqueness of the character originally now seemed repetitive and Odd lost some of his "Odd"ity. Probably the last I read of this group.
