It certainly won't get easier with three armies - one of them composed of ferocious giants - now vying to conquer the city, and no sign of the Lord Ruler's hidden cache of atium, the rarest and most powerful allomantic metal.

As the siege of Luthadel tightens, an ancient legend seems to offer a glimmer of hope. But even if it really exists, no one knows where to find the Well of Ascension or what manner of power it bestows.

Even better then book one

This was an amazing sequel. I liked the series so much that I purchased this book since they had only 1 and 3 until only a couple days ago. I have never had a book stress me out before because I was worried about the characters, and somehow this book triggered these irrational thoughts. Sanderson isn't the "best" writer. However he tells such a good story that it completely sucks you in. There are almost no sections of the book that don't have you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended. This and A Song of Ice and Fire are two of the best fantasy series on audible.

You'll be glad you did.

If you've listened to and enjoyed the first book in the series you won't be disappointed in the second. This book does not suffer from the second book in the series slump like some other series. The narration from Michael Kramer is up to the standard you've come to expect from him.

these books are amazing and I have been relistening for weeks, this one is so well written and read I can see and feel myself actually in the place of the characters!!

Great story... Not a fan of the ending!

I loved the story & character development, but I just felt like the ending left me in the lurch! I suppose I'll have to read the 3rd book now...

Sanderson at his best

After first reading the Stormlight Archive (out of order I know) I didn’t know if I would like the Mistborne series as much. The worldbuilding is next level with all his stuff. Sucks you in and stays interesting throughout. Great read!

READ. THIS. BOOK.

if you love action packed fantasy playing out on an epicly dramatic stage laced with intrigue, woven with an entire cast of complex, deep and driven characters carving out they're own place in the story set in an immensely, deeply fleshed out world of mystery and excitement; YOU NEED TO ADD THIS BOOK TO YOUR REPATOIRE.

Vin's duel with Zane will forever hold a place in my own annals of the most epic confrontations I've had the privilege of reading "..IT WAS SUPPOSED TO SsAaVvEe ME" - And it DID.

It left me eager to hear the 3th book!

I have to be honest, the beginning of the book was a little boring, but it was only setting the foundations of an really intriguing and exciting story! And the narrator was wonderful :)

I just keeps giving!
