The fast paced fight scenes sorta ruined by endless dialog and introspection at inopportune times. Looking forward to next book but hope it smoothes out

I don't review often but this book needs more readers ... because it is good! Buy it. Enjoy it.

There were a few issues with plot holes and other head scratches that would should have been caught in the edit process. But I still enjoyed the entire story ... good job!

One of the very few i have ever returned

Narrator is not suited to this much loved story. I had no problem with the pronunciations. I did have a huge problem with ridiculously over exaggerated sylables. "TRA...hern" "ROO...ARK" made my teeth ache. Lady, relax and slur your words like a normal human being. All the males sound mean and angry. Shanna (sometimes Shaunna) sounds way too old. She is supposed to be a spoiled little princess, not an ancient, world weary crone. I got to chapter 4, tried again a week later, and just could not enjoy the story. When he snarls at Shanna, he is supposed to also be trying to charm her. No charisma in the narrator's tone ... at all ... just ugly anger. Such a terrible shame ...

This omnibus was wonderful! Good story, good narrator with Great characters. I really enjoyed it and am now off to buy the next one.

I did not like the main character

I've only returned a few of the hundreds of books that I have purchased ... this book is one of those few returns.

I did not appreciate how women were portrayed.

I would hope that the awful main character would show some growth ... but after several hours of listening ... I could not waste any more of my time waiting on him showing some redeeming qualities.

Story is a never ending free flowing nightmare scenario that I wasted way too much time on. It doesn't match the summary at all.

I liked this. I enjoyed the corney, old-west charm and atmosphere.

The story itself had some issues that needed an editor's fine touch.

If this is the author's first work....Bravo!

Story moved too slow for my taste.

Overall it was good. It just seemed too long and rambling at times. I didn't find the story very scary or disturbing (other than the gore). There was a line of foreshadowing early on that did not hold up at the end of the book ...which bothers me. The ending was not as much of a twist as some reviewers have stated; I saw it coming. I would have enjoyed it more if it was half the length.
