I really enjoyed this book! Edward Thomas was excellent. Lauren Fortgang was a delight. I wish that there were more chapters narrated by Edward Thomas. That last 3 were by Fortgang.

Edward Thomas is the absolute best! He makes this book. His narration is so spot on...I believe every single word that he performed. In fact, I skipped Rita Fleur’s chapters 1/2 way through the book. Rita Fleur was decent, but her narration was sooo slow. It seemed as if she was only “reading the words.” She didn’t seem to be present and invested in this story. All in all, I liked the story—it ran a bit long in some parts. A good editor could have cut those parts out. All in all, it’s not credit worthy, but definitely audible escape worthy due to the extra slow narration by Rita and the long-windedness in some parts.

I was attracted to this story because it was different. I believed every single word JM said. Lauren Sweet’s performance was awwwwful. I tried and failed. I had to skip all of her chapters just to make it through this book. Don’t spend the credit. Get it from the library.

I really like this book. I love how true love binds people together through good and bad times. I could relate to Knight’s reaction to Dixie because I, too, am adopted. I smiled and I cried with this book. Great story! I was all in!

Jacob Morgan and CJ Bloom are favorites! Christian Rommel is a new narrator to me, and o am eager to check out more books narrated by him. I liked his performance. I did not enjoy Savannah Peachwood’s performance. I found her performance too breathy and slow. I did not find her pacing right for the story. I skipped 1/2 of her chapter. Luckily, she is not in it a lot. The rest of the cast were on point.

Such a great book. This is definitely a "repeat listen." Flynn Earl Jones is a new narrator to me, and I need for him to narrate more books. He performance was perfect for Mathis Bennett. Grace Grant was a delight. Well done!
