Prison break with romance

Out story starts with Abby teaching a class an English class at a prison for her collage project. Sparks fly between Grayson ( an inmate) and Abby. Abby is then captured and taken prisoner by Grayson during his prison break. We learn the reason that Grayson was in prison and that he has tragic background, just like Abby. Grayson then embarks on a revenge mission and takes Abby along for the ride. This story is somewhat dark but does have a HEA. The book had duel narration which I love, because you get 2 POV with this story line. I enjoyed Jacob more than Lauren- she was a little too dramatic for my tastes but overall still a good performance. #Audio Obsession Reviewer

sexy, fast-paced romance

This would make an excellent series. A movie wouldn’t be a good idea because Hollywood would turn it into a cinematographic disaster, like it did with the Fifty Shades trilogy. Probably even worse since this book is so much less known.

The story shows the relationship between a college student and a convict, who meet when she is teaching a writing course in prison. During his escape, he takes her hostage and they succumb to their mutual attraction. There is sex and suspense, and the narrators were perfect.

Kinda Fucked Up But Good

There are so many triggering parts of this book and so many fucked up moments written out but oddly...I was okay with it all in this book. This is definitely not a book for the weak of heart. I would never normally be okay with what goes down in this book between the main characters but it worked for them. I enjoyed it and glad there was a happy ending.

Where do I begin???

Well done ladies! I can't even begin to explain how much I loved this audiobook. The narration? Amazing! The story? Mind blown! It's so dark, so engaging, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Even when I was at work, I would try to squeeze in a minute or two. I need more!

Best book that I have read all year!!!

I should start off by saying that I listen to at least 3 books per week on average and this book is the best I’ve reviewed all year. Not only do these authors offer a unique love story but they also succeed in pulling of the bad boy dynamic in a real and understandable way. The characters have true depth that continues to develop through out the story. This listen may not be suitable for a sensitive audience but if you like a little naughty with your nice then you can’t go wrong with this story!

I actually read and listened to this book, because Jacob Morgan was narrating..... This story starts as an attraction between a teacher and an inmate who breaks out of prison to seek revenge on his captor from his childhood. She was just at the wrong pace at the wrong time or was it?

So intrigued with this dark read!!!

This story is dark, triggering, heartbreaking, and insanely dirty. This is not a conventional romance but one that's in your deepest and darkest fantasies. I feel into a rabbit hole as the story progressed, emotionally drawn to these characters.

Grayson has had a troubled, awful past in his childhood. He wants vengeance and will do whatever it takes to get it. Even if that means manipulating the woman who's captivated his every thought. He's dark and dangerous but has redeeming qualities and is sexy as sin.

Abigail is a naive young woman just living her life and furthering her education. She receives an opportunity to do just that with a project at a prison.  She meets Grayson, a man straight from her deepest fantasy, but definitely not someone she'd ever be able to attain. She's in for the darkest ride of her life that she never saw coming.

I loved the narration. The narrators brought these characters to life and drew me immediately. I just couldn't get enough!

Jacob Morgan’s voice ❤️

Jacob Morgan could have done the entire narration. Lauren Sweet was irritating. I would actually cringe every time I heard her voice. She’s nasally and sing songie if that makes sense. I don’t know if I can listen to another book when she is involved

Perfection!

This story draws you in right from the beginning, the sweet and proper Abigail locking eyes a irresistible prison inmate. The intrigue only goes up from there, weaving a heartbreaking tale of how Greyson ended up there. Action, forbidden steamy romance, mystery-it's all there. The performances on both parts are spot on, Lauren Sweet excellent as usual and Jacob Morgan...*swoon*. Did you think you could ever fall in love with a prisoner?.... because after Jacob's performance please sign me up! One of the best books i've heard in a while. Highly recommend!

Great Story!

This is a great story! If some dark subjects, & questionable sexual consent aren't your thing, then skip this one, cause you won't like it if that's the case... however, if you can handle reading about fictional characters with deep seeded hurts & questionable actions, then you'll love this book. I love to hear Jacob Morgan(Zachary Webber's) narrating. I would listen to him recite the yellow pages! Not only is his voice sexy, but his range of voicing characters always always blows me away, he's a phenomenal narrator! Lauren Sweet was perfect for Abby too! Great job!
