Epic surprise ending to the series
Reviewed: 01-12-20
The ending finds a few surprises, I found googling a few names of angels and demons to see how much research went into the book. Needless to say, as usual, it was right on. Very good series, now if you are overly religious or get your religious sensibilities offended easily this is not for you. It does not follow with the dogma most anyone would follow. Beautifully done story and the ending is better than the beginning.

In this, book one, good work on the back stories and setting stage on what will be a great series. I usually am not a big fan or religious fiction, but this is a great exception. Demons, a secret organization fighting them, paranormal activities. And to top it off, random citizens eating a little girl...great literary vision and the narrator was spot on. I look forward to more books in this series.

A book about ancient Greco Roman gods. It may be a work of fiction but beautifully done. The narrator nailed it, the writer as usual shows his true genius. I don’t know if there was a Cytherus in the pantheon, but there should have been if he was anything like this. I will leave you with this; Buy this book, it’s worth 4 credits but it’s a steal at only one. I shall add this to my list of books to listen to every year.

For those of you who like classic French literature, this mash up I’d for you. There are classic fictional characters together as the original authors would have never done. I won’t give spoilers but suffice it to say the only thing I dislike about the story is it’s not as long as I would prefer. Good narration, excellent author. Highly recommend.

Villains take center stage in this collection of 19 dark and magical stories. Listeners will be cheering for all the wrong heroes as some of the most fearsome, devious, and brutal antagonists perform savage deeds towards wicked ends. And why not? These characters are the champions of their own stories - evil is a matter of perspective. Contributors also include Mark Adler, Bradley P. Beaulieu, E.V. Morrigan, Peter Orullian, Matthew Ward, Kaaron Warren, Deborah A. Wolf, and Janny Wurts.

Are you one who wants the bad guy to win sometimes
Reviewed: 10-28-19
I have always been one to occasionally want to see the story differently than the author wants you to. I always want the hero to win and the villain to lose. Sometimes the villain is the hero.
If any of the above describes you: this was made for you. I won’t get into plots and spoilers, but this group of short stories will satisfy your dark side. I won’t say all of the stories are 5 star but production, narration, and overall storylines are well worth the five star rating. Stories told from the dark side, and making the villains relatable what more can you ask for. I will be listening to these short stories more than once. Love it.

I won’t go into the plot, which is very good, and I won’t give spoilers.
In the beginning of the book I kinda felt as though the book was written in 1997 or so. If that’s the case I wish I had found it sooner. This book is a time traveling tale with mystery, suspense, romance, and is just a good story. The author has come up with an original concept and is telling a story that needs to be heard.
When the end of the book arrived (way too soon) I instantly wanted to get book 2 immediately.
Overall this is a 5- star book, the narrator is good, but 4 stars on narration due to some minor audio issues.

Story
The Zombie War was the longest and most costly conflict that Britain has ever waged. No one knows the true figure of those who lost their lives in the long years of the war and tragically too many have lost their lives in the years of peace that have followed. Life expectancy is a shadow of what it was and many diseases and ailments that science thought it had eradicated have returned. Many of those who survived the war have since died, taking with them the stories and memories of the most devastating and important struggle that mankind has ever waged.

This book has a great narrative and a unique way of telling the story. I’m not one to give spoilers so I won’t, suffice it to say the storyline is good, it’s well written, and entertaining.
Only real drawback was the end of one chapter seems to be missing.

Story
For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.
