Story
My name is Nick Gautier, and I was born to end the world. Or so I thought. For years, I believed my destiny was beyond my control. But the Fates love to play with folks, and I seem to be their favorite punchline. Just when my crew and I thought we were done with the apocalypse, the Fates dragged back for another round. Now, we have to stop the powers-that-be and my future son or the ones I love and cherish will become memories.

I just reread the last series of Nick just to follow this new adventure of Nick saving the world and friends in a totally different scope. I am amazed at SK imagination and plotting with the multi verse to bridge the last series and now this one to give us back hope with our loved characters.

Story
New York Times best-selling author Jen Lancaster has lived a life based on re-invention and self-improvement. From Bitter Is the New Black to The Tao of Martha, she’s managed to document her (and her generation’s) attempts to shape up, grow up, and have it all - sometimes with disastrous results...Mistakes are one thing; regrets are another. After a girls’ weekend in Savannah makes her realize that she is - yikes! - middle-aged (binge watching is so the new binge drinking), Jen decides to make a bucket list and seize the day.

as much as I love this author the first book was slow to get into but I tried and the next 2 were better but by the 4th and the new narrator it was a fail. There was no over lapping situations to bring the characters together until the very end. I was bored and left dissatisfied

an eye opener to addiction
Reviewed: 11-23-23
This was so deep into an addiction that has robed my family for years. I see thru the writers eyes the true struggle and felt her challenges to take it day by day to chose sobriety. My X in and out of rehab so many times and experiencing what was written here made me see the disease and not his constant failure to chose life, his kids, his family. I can't fault him but I also see now that I can't fix him. His choice has to be his alone. thank you for this book.
