梶井 基次郎（かじい・もとじろう）
1901年（明治34年）～1932年（昭和7年）。大阪市西区生まれ。近代日本文学の古典的存在とされる。
高校時代エンジニアを目指していたが、その後文学に傾倒し東京帝国大学文学部英文科に進学。
1925年（大正14年）、同人誌「青空」を刊行し、代表作「檸檬」を発表。
その作品は、自身の病気を題材にすることも多く、私的小説的な作品が多い。
1932年（昭和7年）、肺結核のため死去。享年31歳。
命日の3月24日は、その代表作から、「檸檬忌」（れもんき）と呼ばれている。
