I was blown by this book. It’s like watching something that you know won’t go well and knowing you should look away but you just can’t. My heart aches but I want more!

Great twist!

At first, I couldn't understand the direction the primary character was heading. As it went along, it was such a twist I wasn't expecting. So good, I like how the author ended it, it was fitting.

I was searching for a book narrated by the talented Rose Robinson, and I discovered “House of Whispers.” What took me so long? Anna Kent delivers a suspenseful, uniquely bizarre thriller that hooked me from the first whisper to the last. Once quoted as “haunting, dark and wonderfully atmospheric,” the brilliance here is the slow, tense buildup to Grace. My first title by Kent, but certainly not my last. Abi Allerton has the life she curated so lovingly, a beautiful Victorian she and her husband Rohan have lovingly renovated, a past firmly locked away. Then her old university friend gets back in touch. Their friendship was always intense, all-consuming. With Rohan away, Abi lets her in for company. That is her mistake. Once you let her in, she'll never leave. Grace settles into the house like damp in the walls, and Abi's calm, well-ordered life starts to slip. Because Grace knows Abi's secret, and she intends to make her remember it. Try to take break? Virtually impossible. Narration by Rose Robinson and Raj Ghatak is beyond perfection. Robinson is a longtime favorite of mine for a reason; her vocals are exquisite and velvety smooth, and Ghatak is the ideal counterpoint. Together they make her home feel genuinely haunted. I thought I had figured it out early on, but I was wrong. And with a shocking ending I never saw coming, my jaw hit the floor. For this price, an absolute steal and straight to the top of my favorites. I can’t stress it enough. Get “House of Whispers” now. Epic, indeed.
