Cute Story

I read the last book in the series first not realizing it. So once I started listening I recognized character names so I was spoiled. However, that didn’t stop me from loving this book. I enjoyed the banter between Marcelline and Clevedon. They always kept the other on their toes. The angst, the longing and the heat was top notch. I would definitely read again and recommend.

Wonderful start to a new series

Loved the lead characters in this book. Both are strong, independent and attractive. L Chase has a great talent at developing strong characters who can get along.

fairytale romance between a Duke and a seamstress

it helps to know of the notorious bad branch of the Delucie family, mentioned on previous books. The heroine, having grown with indifferent scoundrels parents, does her best to make a living as a clothes designer to support her sisters and daughter. The hero is an indolent Duke having trouble growing up and facing his responsibilities. Their love seems impossible but love can conquer all. not as good as other books by this author. There is too much detail about the clothes, lace, bows, etc. which I feel would be better used to give depth to the secondary characters

Nothing! Love Loretta Chase work! Dialogue is so smart and quick witted. Her female characters are always strong and interesting!

I love the dreadful DeLucys. The book was entertaining and charming. And Kate Reading was at her usual best.
