Too much hype

Too many characters, very difficult to follow initially. I was almost ready to abandon it but forced myself to finish.
Overall the narration and performance was excellent but I was a bit disappointed with the story.

Not worth the hype

The first half of this speculative novel was quite entertaining as I got to know the characters and tried to figure out what was going on. But, for me, the second half lagged. It felt overly ambitious and preachy.

Lies we love

And they just keep telling them to us. Herve did a marvelous job! And hopefully everything he wanted to affect came through. And Dominic does a marvelous job with the narration. I’m glad I gave this story a chance because I turned it off after the part about the dog. The imagery was too much for me. But then once the storyline took hold, I couldn’t stop listening.

Interesting but a little hard to follow

It was hard to get a grip on what exactly was going on at the beginning but as it started to come together, I was intrigued by the ideas. Still had a hard time keeping all the various characters straight though.
