I started listening to this audiobook thinking it would highlight how stress in our lives impacts our health, but was quickly surprised at how in depth the book went. It worked to identify the origins of stress and the relationship that childhood experiences play on how we process stress. It absolutely exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is a life changing, eye opening look at the physical effects of childhood trauma. I also appreciated the tools and discussion around how to heal or change this trauma and lessen the chances or lessen the effects of physical illness. I want to get this book for all my friends and family that struggle with emotions, boundaries, and physical illness without being able to ask or accept support, connection, and love from others.
