I am binge listening to the series. The only thing I would change is that I would add more mango. This series is EASILY in my Top Five.

the way they just skipped the entire story about the sea monster getting killed. like you're preparing for the entire story ark but then nothing happens of it. I was waiting for it to be elaborated on later, but it never happens. I thought when they mentioned the bards signing of it we would know more. it is funny how she's a bit jealous of it too.

A good story progression characters you love and hate karma believable behaviors book 2 has a valid cast.

Fun read with cool characters. A refreshing spin on action especially if you are interested in fantasy healers. I am a massage therapist and loved the fantasy medical drama.

The system is engaging, the world grounded but fantastical, the characters realistic and fun. The only thing I would say it lacks is twists within twists. But this is an adventure book with elements of mystery so lacking convoluted misdirection is probably for the best. If you like book 1 it's much the same with more exploration of the world.



Small not relevant spoiler ahead. Ending the book on an interlude that expanded concepts of the system was a great way to create the disconnect. Unlike with book 1 I was very satisfied with this ending.
