Good escape, bratty heroine

While I loved the authors description of the castle and the clothing and enjoyed the character development, it was hard to get past the selfishness of both the heroine and the king. I found myself rooting for the wanna be Robin Hood character. At least he actually cared for the people

Caitlin did an awesome job! Book was great as well, easy novel. Love the strong female lead.

Read it and Loved it!

I was looking for another book as I have become a fan of SJM and M. Pearson. I came across this book, read the reviews and was uncertain as the reviews were both great and not so great. I am glad I took a chance and bought it. Definitely worth a credit. If you were a fan of Damon Salvatore from the vampire diaries, I think you'll like the main character. Yeah, she is all in it for herself aka Damon, but you see how she grows for love. It has parts of her being selfish and conniving (which I thought were entertaining and hilarious), sometimes you just want to root for the anti-hero who will do the right thing.

Interesting with a clever plot.

The characters were perfect in their imperfections. At first I didn’t like the vocal characteristics. But came to understand that Caitlin Davies was adding an element of haughtiness to this socialite and it ended up matching her personality perfectly. And as for plot. Tons. And quite the element of surprise that I definitely didn’t see coming.

Relatable beyond words

Brilliantly performed. Amazing characters. How the relatable love story that we’ve heard a million times is told in such a unique way will make this be a favorite for a long time.
