Unfortunately, all I felt about the book was ehh

This is advertised as a young adult book, and I suppose that may be why I felt so ... ehh ... the entire time listening to it. There wasn't anything that I hated about it (THANK YOU for *NOT* relying on torture as a plot device), but I for whatever reason I just didn't "click" with the characters. Perhaps it's because the story overall seemed pretty formulaic even though the exact plot didn' tovertly copy one from another book. I expect that girls in their early to mid teens might really like this.
Both voice actors were good.

Great story, needs a better narrator

Great story but the male narrator is terrible. Jude is 19 and this narrator is so off and wrong. this would be far better if they casted someone else.

decent story but narrator makes mouth noises

it's a decent story overall. not sure why it would be "adult". it wasn't that bad.
I also personally think Kiara and Jude are silly names.
Bad names take away from storyline and matter to me but maybe not to others.

my main complaint was the woman narrator has an accent and persons with accents shouldn't narrate books. they're hard to understand. also, she make mouth noises that are annoying and take away from the story. The man narrator also is too deep for a 19 year old.

I really love every moment of the story I love that there is a man reader and a lady reader helps to see both sides of there story ❤️

Very entertaining

I was so entertained and pulled in from the first few pages. Very good and can wait to get my hands on book 2.

Great Romantic Fantasy...Cannot Wait For Book 2!

There is nothing I didn't like about this book. The characters were great and well developed. The storyline was unique, interesting and there were plenty of plot twists and surprises. The romance had a very low steam level, but it was slow-burn and "I'll burn the world down" kind of romance with a lot of great chemistry between the FMC and MMC. The world building was great, not over or under done, but just right. The ending killed me a little amd was a complete cliffhanger that will certainly leave you wanting Book 2 ASAP.

What was most refreshing is that the FMC was very different than most FMC in Fantasy Romance novels. She was witty, funny, strong, optimistic, silly, playful, more like I would imagine and in reality, more how I was as an 18 year old girl. Some of the FMC in these novels are just constantly angry, brooding, sensitive, they overreact to everything and anything and they're not realistic at all. Keara has to be one of the most realistic female leads in a novel I've ever read and I adored her character so much.

The MMC, Jude, was very kind of typical, dark, sexy, brooding, violent and chaotic past, but due to falling in love, he seems to find himself again and changes his life around because he finds someone whom he truly cares about, when he really never had anyone like that in his life. I still very much enjoyed his character and liked watching him grow and mature throughout the expanse of the novel.

The dynamic between the two leads was great too. Lot's of great banter without TOO many cliche' tropes. There was no one horse, one bed, nothing that forced them to be together constantly, which was great because Keara actually had a life and friends outside of him, none of the things you see in like every, friggin, fantasy romance novel ever made. They did have the fated love going on a bit though...

Also, the narrators were both pretty good as well. It's told from both Keara's and Jude's point of view. So there is female narrator and a male narrator and they're both great!

But overall, I would 100% recommend this book. It will give you all the feels and is extremely well written.

great book

I have listened mor then 5 times now. I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait for the story to continue.

Unique and wonderful

Awesome story, I can’t wait for the sequel!! I loved the story, it was unique and I was kept guessing in the best way. I wasn’t as fond of Jude as I would have liked, but I liked Kiara and many of the other characters.

Gideon is Amazing as always

some of the book drags on little.
and the Author sure put poor Jake through a lot, he better get a better story.
Gideon is an amazing voice actor and absolutely slays everything he does (DA2 fan)
I did have to speed up the Narration, because the female narrator speaks way too slow.
but over all fantastic, the plot seems to be lost at first. but you figure it out at the end. I will for sure be waiting on book 2

just wow

I went into this book with no expectations and was actually surprised by the story. It's worth a read.
