When Marco runs into his old friend Erek, he doesn't think too much of it. He's got more important things to do, like helping to save the world. But then Marco finds out Erek's been hanging with some of the kids at the Sharing, and he starts to think that something just a little weird is going on.

So Marco, Jake, and Ax decide to morph and check old Erek out. Just to see if he's been infested with a Yeerk. The good news is that Erek's not a human-Controller. The bad news is that Erek's not even human.

This book is a game changer from a plot perspective, introducing a pivotal character. On top of that, it's a game changer from a philosophical standpoint. Up until this point in the series, there has been light touches on the morality of war. This book takes it head on without pulling punches. Truly brilliant.

And if you're a dog lover? This book is for you.

One of the best in the early series

It was OK but Ax sounds like a forty year old and you spelt Animorphs wrong but overall good performance

It's ok

Wow! I'd have never guessed these stories go to some dark places. Only on book #10 and the intensity keeps ramping up!

The excitement continues!

I'll admit Marco is not my favorite Animorph, but de Ocampo voices him with such humanity I find myself enjoying the character more. Marco's got a lot of these kind of horrific realization moments whenever he has to consider the situation with his mom and it's so compelling!

I dearly hope this isn't the end of animorphs audiobooks, I'd gladly buy more. Performance is down a star because it's still weird to have Ax voiced like a boisterous forty-year-old.

also you got a typo there with 'Animporhs' btw.

oh, Marco

I love all the voices for the Animorphs audiobooks, but Ramón de Ocampo is definitely my fave. I’m so happy to see these books I absolutely loved as a kid getting such great audiobooks. I really hope they do the rest of the series.

Great Performance
