Another fantastic work from Devon C Ford.

There was quite a bit to like about this audio book. Narration was top notch. The story had me remembering how I grew up in the 1980's, so the emotional connection was there. Overall pacing was great as well. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of apocalyptic fiction.

Realistic

The story is realistic and full of great character development. There is a good history to the story and anticipation of an interesting future.

Good listening.

Ford did not disappoint, but would have liked for more action to have taken place. I always like the characters in his books.

Pretty standard

Not bad but nothing new, lots of military ops and talk which I don't enjoy but nice story line on the boy.
Lots of violence and gore, swearing but no sex.
Won't be continuing this series.

Amazing Series for any Reader...

I’m on book 4 in the series - I wanted to be sure the series would hold up before encouraging others to listen/read.

MAN DOES IT HOLD UP! Awesome series!

I love series like Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars (pre Disney more than post), Ember War, Rise, After It Happened, etc. I love strong male characters and strong female characters - but I REALLY love men to be chivalrous because they respect and appreciate women. This girl won’t ever snub her nose at a man doing things he was genetically equipped to do better than me.

Who will be glad they took a chance on this? Anyone who loves to care about the plight of the characters and feel anticipation and adrenaline during military/battle footage.

It’s extra helpful if a reader likes Post-Apocalyptic stories w/ zombies.

It’s pretty gory and graphic in the zombie bits.
