Sleep is essential for our well being and our health, but in our busy lives it is often poor and overlooked. Now is the time to put down your smartphone, stop a while and find consolation and wonder in other worlds where all is well and sleep just a page or two away.

From classic stories by Oscar Wilde, Guy de Maupassant and Katherine Mansfield, to friendly tales of our childhoods and poetry that reminds us of the simple joys of life, this lovingly curated book will soothe a tired mind and gently carry you to the peaceful land of sleep.

So switch off, snuggle down and allow yourself to escape into new worlds and old; magical, mysterious and tender realms that will accompany you to your own sweet dreams.

This is a good collection of classic stories but the introduction is terrible. It has the opportunity to be good as it starts off talking about how peacefully children sleep but then it talks about all the reasons you can't sleep, which only serves to remind you of why you can't sleep. Skip it and head to the stories themselves and you'll be out before you can say Wikem, Blinkem and Nod.

Not recommended for insomniacs. Fell asleep happily and peacefully in Chapter 4 about the time the trolls were defeated, slipped neatly into deep dream heaven for Goethe, and shot to instant, alarmed wakefulness at the growling, shouting giant's gruff outburst. Nearly jumped out of my skin. Not funny.

False advertising. Don't rely on it to relax.

Need to have more stories. Would love to have another book or suggestion of the same type I could download.

Helps me to unwind.

Woke me up at around 3:19:10 when the narrator (doing a chap called carpo) started shouting which woke me up. Middle of my sleep, heart racing, ultimate stress!
