Loved it

I fucking loved this book. It had all the tropes I loved but it was still original enough to keep me interested. I enjoy this author and glad she has titles on the plus catalog but this is a book I would spend a credit on.

Roman and Lucy

this was my first introduction into the author and I must say I was not disappointed I love me some Mafia romance and this hit man romance was exactly what I needed when I didn't even know it so I can't wait to continue her series to see what oh she has to offer narrator nail on did a wonderful job the male no narrator that voice is sexy as hell definitely would recommend it

Lackluster

DNF. The connection between the main characters was shallow and forced. The female narrator did a nice job, but the male narrator felt tinny and lacked the authority needed for this character.

What a wild ride!

I found yet another Hot 🔥 sexy, Suspense filled with twists and turns LISTEN! A few moments I found myself actually sitting on the edge of my seat. or the need to turn my fan on. the duel Narration of Rita Amos & Indy Chapin were outstanding! Awesome Author NICOLE FOX 👏 BRAVO 👏 ⚘💐⚘💖

Enjoyable

I’ve been wanting to try Nicole Fox for awhile now, and this was my first book. It was a freebie from the Audible Plus Catalog, and I notice it’s one of her older releases with one of her lowest ratings. It wasn’t my favorite mob romance, but I liked it enough to listen to the entire audiobook without increasing the speed or skipping chapters. It definitely kept my interest all the way through.

What I loved: Great character development, with backstories that gave both the MCs enough depth to be interesting. The romance and relationship plot line was nicely balanced with an action story arc. My positive feelings about the book were cemented in chapter 19. The 2nd part of that double twist was creative and heartwarming.

What I liked less: I’m all for insta lust when it’s well done. Many authors can write it in a way that feels natural and believable. In this case, I found it flat and awkward. In fact, the overall chemistry between the characters was lukewarm and meh. I did appreciate, however, that the author made their relationship about love instead of just sex. Even so, the love between them also felt flat and awkward a lot of the time.

Both narrators were good. The female narrator did a phenomenal job voicing male characters.

Although I won’t give it a second listen, I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook.
