Really enjoyed it

Great start to the series. The characters are just getting themselves used to all the changes. I have high hopes for the rest of the series. I enjoyed the last T.L. Payne series I read too

Loved the book and the narrator

T. L. Payne was an awesome find. I finished a series by another author, and T. L. was a suggested author to try. I'm glad I followed that suggestion, otherwise I might not have ever come across her.
I loved the book and the narrator.
I'm on to book 2 in this series!

Great series!

I found this box set on audible on a whim and loved all of it! Easy to follow, great story, clean writing, and great narration. I’m currently trying to get through one of the most-recommended post-apocalyptic/prepper books and struggling because it’s not nearly as entertaining as this series and is way more vulgar than I expected. Thank you for setting my standard high and creating content that is actually enjoyable and not super cringey!

It was a bit slow

The story lacked apocalyptic elements. It felt like the storm was it. I needed more.

No Way I Could Finish It

Despite reading a review that this book had no language, it definitely does. The language was a little more jolting to me because it seemed so randomly inserted, as if to make the book seem "cool" or whatever.
Despite a lot of "action" like shooting bad guys, the book moved very slowly. When I gave up, I think that not even two days had passed. The book didn't seem to have any redeeming value, so I finally gave up on it.

Couldn’t finish

I couldn’t even finish this book. The narrator alone was painful enough, but the story was weird and made no sense. Don’t waste your credits on this, it’s an easy on to skip.

Can't do it

I can't get passed the first chapter and the narrator. I love other TL Payne series that Kevin Pierce did but I can't get past the narrator....

Unbelievable

I couldn’t finish this book. The characters are constantly making stupid decisions and constantly running into people trying to kill them at every turn, on the first day of the lights out. The situations they find themselves in are not believable.
