The journey that began in The Shadow of What Was Lost and continued in An Echo of Things to Come now comes to its spectacular conclusion in The Light of All That Falls, the final chapter of the Licanius Trilogy by acclaimed epic fantasy author James Islington.

After a savage battle, the Boundary is whole again - but it may be too late. Banes now stalk the lands of Andarra, and the Venerate have gathered their armies for a final, crushing blow.

In Ilin Illan, Wirr fights to maintain a precarious alliance between Andarra's factions of power. With dark forces closing in on the capital, if he cannot succeed, the war is lost.

Imprisoned and alone in a strange land, Davian is pitted against the remaining Venerate. As he tries to keep them from undoing Asha's sacrifice, he struggles to come to terms with his own path and all he has learned about Caeden, the friend he chose to set free.

And finally, Caeden is confronted with the reality of a plan laid centuries ago - heartbroken at how it started and devastated by how it must end.

Just finished, astonishingly giddy and sad at the same time. This was such a well done story and this third book tying up so many of the plot lines in very gratifying ways.

Top notch , just delighted how this all turned out.

A perfect ending to an awesome trilogy! This is one of my all time favorite books and trilogies!

Amazing!!

I really enjoyed these books, great plot twists and turns in the first two books. The third books pacing is a little off. It is almost to fast. I felt like there was 10-15 hours missing. The plot twists I guessed pretty far in advance. Typical fantasy stuff. Big battle, with last minute saves. I was really hoping for more. All that said, Michael Kramer (voice actor), really shines. I would still recommend this trilogy.

Good trilogy, rushed ending.

The last book of the trilogy very much completes this epic. James Islington's writing is still superb as is Michael Kramer's narrating performance. There are interesting twists, multiple betrayals and sadness over loss of several likable characters. I enjoyed it so much that I feel a bit guilty in dropping it a star due to the many number of do-or-die battles at the end. While written well, they induced a sense of battle fatigue feeling at the end.

Light spoiler ahead.

The ending had a circular time-travel situation where the story went into to what could only be understood as an endless loop.
