An all-new novel based on the landmark TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine from the acclaimed author of A Big Ship at the Edge of the Universe!

Jadzia Dax has been a friend to Etom Prit, the Trill Trade Commissioner, over two lifetimes. When Etom visits Deep Space Nine with the request to rein in his wayward granddaughter Nemi, Dax can hardly say no. It seems like an easy assignment: visit a resort casino while on shore leave, and then bring her old friend Nemi home. But upon arrival, Dax finds Nemi has changed over the years in terrifying ways…and the pursuit of the truth will plunge Dax headlong into a century’s worth of secrets and lies!

This book is set within the series of DS9. Dax goes on a mission to save a friend she had lost touch with who was in trouble. This story leads to revelations about herself including insight into a previous host that I found very interesting. I don't know how this book jives with The Lives of Dax novel released years ago, but it was a thrilling part of the narrative in this one. Overall I recommend it for fans of DS9 and Dax in particular.

A worthy Dax Story

Impressive story. One of the best of the SDSN series. The story did not go the way I thought. I was pleasantly surprised how the story uncovered so much about not only the Dax symbient and its hosts, but also about Trill and the lives of the joined and those that didn't get joined the right way. It was an unexpected turn in rhe relationship with Jadzia and Nemi, but I enjoyed everything about the story. As always Robert Petkoff is the best. He 8s not jus reading the story, he brings it to life.

I'm a fan of Alex White, and I live DS9, so I had to listen once I knew this existed. This book did not disappoint. The story was fun and the characters felt authentic to what I had seen in the show. The narrator did a great job with the telling and differentiation between characters.

A worthy choice

Alex White should write all future Star Trek books. The story was better than most (especially other recent ST books)
and the narration was very good.

Great story

An entertaining listen. This continues the story arc of Dax from the TV Episode "Equilibrium" as well as others. Well worth your time if you are a fan of DS9 and all of the lives, even Joran, of Dax.

Very Good DS9 Dax Story
