It cuts out all the fluff! No Silica, no Lizbeth, no Yui, and I genuinely believe that’s an improvement. It definitely still has some issues, some of which are just the story of SAO, and some of which are the novel dragging a bit on unnecessary details. However, if you’re even a mild fan of SAO, then give it a shot!

I think the story was good but it was too rushed imo. we went from floor 1 to floor 74 in a few sentences. But the voice performance was great.

I am so glad that this has been released as I have a copy of the book but have found myself on the go a lot lately to sit and read. its good clean. fun and exciting.

Audio book was excellent! There were a few details that I feel the anime missed that were fleshed out better in the softnovel. Having one of the main voice actors provide narration was also a plus. Hopefully more English audio book adaption of soft novels are on the way!
