First half was really good

The first half was really good and spicy. There were some creative sexy scenes that surprised me in a good way. Gave me some good ideas. It got a little corny near the end.

True Ice Queen Romance

Lillian White is a true ice queen, she made herself that way to advance in her good ole boy career. Though the way the narration was done, even in a romantic setting she still sounded like an ice queen.

Very good storyline

Some sexy dom and submissive characteristics in this book. But still a romantic love story! I loved it!

Yin and Yang- finding a perfect match!

Our two leading ladies could not be more different! But sparks fly when they agree on two things- they are willing to fight for what they want and what they want is each other! The attraction is instant- some mixture of a dominant personality looking for a more submissive one, combined with romance and love. After all, who could resist a woman who grew up conducting ceremonies where she married her Barbie dolls to each other?! A little more witty banter and foundation-building would have been nice but once it's on, it’s on. In time, we do learn more about our main characters! The narration made this an enjoyable listen too. The backdrop of a prestigious law firm, along with a mysterious subplot, added some great intrigue to their office romance. Yes, the good ‘ole boy patriarchy and a little old-fashioned bigotry are alive and well; still. I didn't care for the book cover. If you feel the same way, don’t judge it harshly. Overall it’s a very enjoyable story with a righteously good HEA!

Anna Stone is solid.

I really liked this book, at this point, Anna Stone is on the list of authors, from whom I will most likely pick up any new releases.
I really enjoy her writing. I first got into her Irresistibly Bound series, which is probably a bit more on the erotic side, and this leaning more towards romance.

I rate this 5 in every category, but I have some minor nitpicks.

First of, the ending felt somewhat rushed, the characters get a great ending & cute epilogue, but some of the plot towards the end, could definitely have used a bit more space.

Secondly, I initially really didn't like the voice Rebecca Estrella did for Lillian (Not bad, just not to my preference), but I got used to it, and think she did a really good job on the read. She's definitely on my "safe-reader" list, because that's of much importance to me, when listening to an audio book. A bad read can definitely spoil even the best of books.
