interesting twist to an interesting storyline

I wasn't so sure about the premise of this book when I got started, but then hung in for the psychological makeup of the whole family and wanted to stay for the outcome.
I don't want to give anything away, but I'll just say the author developed each character well enough for me to finish the book on my vacation (without being too rude w/my earbuds in...lol...I couldn't wait to get back to this book to see what was going to happen next, especially towards the end!!)
it was a little dark, but did not have lots of descriptive gore, and not really much sex; just a few scenes that were mentioned in passing between the few partners....enough for your own mind to wander if you wanted, ir continue on with the next chapter.
This was a dark, twisty thriller, with lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. The kids are great bonus characters!

Really entertaining BUT (Spoiler Alert!!)

Overall the book was really entertaining from start to finish. The problem was, the ending (stop reading if you don't want spoilers) the ending really pissed me off. The protagonist isn't a good guy, he's a bad guy, and a murderer. I wasn't rooting for him to succeed, so toward the end I was like - this is ridiculous, he SHOULD get caught, he's responsible for the horrific deaths of these women. And at no time does he ever actually own that, so it left me feeling sick. In Dexter, you get it - and you end up rooting for the bad guy because he's not THAT bad, but this guy IS that bad. Ugh.

Twisted but GOOD

I selected this book (like most others) solely by the few latest reviews and without knowing any info about the storyline... and I was pleasantly surprised.

This book was interestingly dark and will make you look at your "perfect neighbors" with suspicion.

Wow!! Talk about a thriller!

If you are looking for a book that will keep you guessing, this one is for you. It's a wild ride from start to finish from the prospective of a minor psychopath who has to keep jumping through hurdles of a major psychopath throws in front of him. And the dynamic of being married to each other is that much more intense. You get to know the inner workings of a family and how a serial killer tries to control every aspect of the family.

The main point of the story is can anyone truly know a person. There are secrets the couple share and then there are darker secrets that they both hold back from each other.

The book had me on my toes, that's for sure and I kept listening, not wanting to turn off the book because I needed to know what happened next. I had so much anxiety!

This is a book that will thrill anyone seeking a great suspense book.

Well written.....good story

I loved this book/ And I am glad I purchased it. The scenes were well written. I could picture everything that was happening while the narrator was speaking. Before I got this book, I had not ever heard of this author but now I will be definitely looking into more of her books.
