Disappointing. Also, not a ghost story.

Part of my disappointment is that I thought this was going to be a haunted house story, since I found it under, "Horror; Ghosts". It should be under, "Crime Fiction; Stupid". This is not the books fault, since it should have been found under crime fiction rather than ghost fiction. Buyer beware.
Another part of the problem is that there are so many reviews saying how good the twist was and how good the ending was and how they never, ever, ever saw it coming. Because of this I knew when I started that the obvious red herring was a red herring, and I immediately started thinking of other things the twist could be. I like to think, though, that even without that, I still would have been suspicious, just because of the way the characters are written, and I absolutely was not surprised at the "twist" at the end. Also, a little editing would not have gone amiss, it's quite repetitive.
It's an ok read if you want something to pass the time, and you won't miss out if you're doing something else while listening, because it's slow and repetitive so if you miss something you'll get it again later, but it's not a great book and I wish I hadn't spent a credit on it.
The reader, on the other hand, is very good, I would absolutely listen to her again.

Okay story

The book was okay. I found myself losing interest quite often. It seemed to drag on and on. It was also quite redundant in a lot of ways. The big reveal at the end was a great touch.

Wow! Just wow! A MUST listen!!

I was hooked on this book from the very first chapter! I haven’t herd a book this good since Verity! The story is great and so is the narrator. It has some amazingly unexpected clever twists!, amd the ending was jaw dropping! Loved every minute of it! Will most likely listen to it again! A total must listen if you are a mystery buff like myself!

Great twists

Many twists and turns in this story! Gave me the chills several times and scared me! Great author and performance!

It was okay

What I expected versus what I got in the end was where my disappointment stems from. When you see a title like “Never Lie” you expect the plot of the story to be tied into what happens when you lie. I was expecting Dr. Hale to issue consequences of some sort (possibly the killing kind) when she found out a patient lied essentially not trusting the process. What I got instead wasn’t the thrilling twist I was hoping for but what felt like an entirely different story line. I wish the title and the first chapters were made into a book with the right lead and a better plot.

Bravo!! Twists and turns. Couldn't put it down. Narrator was an ideal choice for the book.

Very easy read, and kept you wondering if what you thought might be happening was right or if there would be another twist!

Good until the twisted end

This book kept my attention throughout but the ending was so bizarre it ruined it for me. I know it’s fiction but that many crazies is too much

Terrific Thriller

I enjoyed the twists and turns. It kept my attention and I loved the book as well as narration.
