From the Fab Five--the beloved hosts of Netflix's viral hit Queer Eye--comes a book that is at once a behind-the-scenes exclusive, a practical guide to living and celebrating your best life, and a symbol of hope.

Feeling your best is about far more than deciding what color to paint your accent wall or how to apply nightly moisturizer. It's also about creating a life that's well-rounded, filled with humor and understanding--and most importantly, that suits you. At a cultural moment when we are all craving people to admire, Queer Eye offers hope and acceptance. After you get to know the Fab Five, together they will guide you through five practical chapters that go beyond their designated areas of expertise (food & wine, fashion, grooming, home decor, and culture), touching on topics like wellness, entertaining, and defining your personal brand, and complete with bite-sized Hip Tips for your everyday quandaries. Above all else, Queer Eye aims to help you create a happy and healthy life, rooted in self-love and authenticity.

Read by the Fab Five: Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk, and Karamo Brown

This book is gorgeous from start to finish! My favorite part is that each of the Fab 5 reads his own section. It really leveled up the experience of "reading" this awesome book.

A Great Choice

Intro: I won't lie with reality shows it can be kind of hard sometimes for me to get into them. For some reason they always seem extreme to me either exemplifying attitudes or competitiveness for people. I've never been one for that heavy drama. I'm a fight or flight person and usually conflict makes me want to run like a rabbit away. But when Queer Eye came out (the original and the new), I found there was a better side to it. Where the cause was basically the idea of improving, but also keeping the person's individuality. Basically as they had written to bring out the "best versions of themselves" and understanding that we're all living beings, caring and compassionate in the end.
In the new version it really is much more about the heart of the show and understanding the people, both of the heroes and the Fab 5's backgrounds. I can say some parts that were dealing in the self care and various arts went by quite so quickly, and I feel now that I might have to actually get the physical book for further review. I really do enjoy though getting some glimpses into the Fab 5's lives and hearing their cool hip tips.
*FYI: Every 1 of them was able to categorize a cologne scent that suits them best. I found this rather relatable and a tad funny, because for this Aquarius I am constantly a chameleon with changing my aromatherapy (perfume oils) out all the time. A lot of them being from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, which often have an extensive scent note directory, have playful storytelling spins to theirs (BPAL); along with their own philanthropic endeavor scents. Speaking of which they had a disaster relief and food bank scent fundraiser for Texas not long ago that made me think of Queer Eye Season 6's "Gimme Shelter" episode.
My current smellies top 10:
1. Twilight Alchemy's Temple of the Trickster
2. BPAL's Bluebeard
3. BPAL's Lurid
4. BPAL's Morocco
5. BPAL's Bluebonnet Single Note
6. BPAL's The Small Brown Cat
7. Arcana's Madame Lapin
8. Posset's Mrs. Rabbit's Carrot Cake
9. Posset's Lady with a Baby Unicorn
10. Zoologist's Bat
Sorry, my olfactories took me off on some tangents. But much as Antoni can go into the great detail with flavor profiles and the pallets my nose tends to do that to me too. I'll also be taking Jonathan's advice and getting some lemongrass hair oil, not only because it's a bright, lovely, and an energetic scent; but also my sensitive scalp may appreciate that. I likely will have to give a slightly revised review once I get the physical book; but these are just my general thoughts so far upon the audio listen.
