Publisher's summary
Roma Downey - best known as the beloved angel on the TV show Touched by an Angel - has created a beautiful book filled with encouragement and hope, assuring us of God's comforting presence in our lives.
Ever since she was a little girl, Roma has seen butterflies as a reminder of God's presence. They have appeared to her in moments when she needed encouragement and reminded her she is not alone. In this deeply personal book, Roma shares stories from her life, alongside quotes, poems, and Scripture that she prays will uplift you as they have her. Each grace-filled chapter of this beautiful book covers topics such as courage, loss, gratitude, love, and kindness.
Reminiscent of the message of her popular television series, Touched by an Angel, this book's central theme is that there is a God and he loves you and that even in your most difficult moments, he is by your side. That though you may feel alone, you are never truly alone. The subtle butterfly theme reminds us that the wonder of God's love and kindness is sometimes reflected in the gentle whispers of his creation and that we all have the power to transform from simple caterpillars into exquisite butterflies.
Written in a way that encourages you to "dip in and out" of its flowing content, this inspiring book invites you to return again and again as life brings new challenges or you find yourself in need of new inspiration.

For the last several years, Penn and Kim Holderness of The Holderness Family have done the hard maintenance and the research to learn how to fight better. With the help of their marriage coach Dr. Christopher Edmonston, they break down their biggest (and in some cases, funniest) fights. How did a question about chicken wings turn into a bra fight (no, not a bar fight; a bra fight)? How did a roll of toilet paper lead to tears, resentment, and a stint in the guest bedroom?

In her new book, Stasi Eldredge meets listeners in their painful realities and offers an invitation to a joy that is defiant in the face of this broken world. This joy does not Pollyannaish-ly ignore life's heartache; rather, it insists that sorrow and loss do not have the final say. This kind of joy is present to both goodness and grief and interprets them in the light of heaven.

Story
Rock princess Lacey Sturm wants to share her journey from heartbreak to wholeness with young women. In The Mystery, Sturm helps listeners understand that any loving relationship begins with knowing your own identity in Christ. And yet, so many people have learned to define love through their own dysfunctional family, unhealthy relationships, the romances and wrecked relationships of mainstream pop culture, or, sadly, through pornography. Is it any wonder so many people end up brokenhearted, divorced, abused, abusive, or even suicidal?

Story
"Sometimes I want to spend hours talking with my best friends about boys and fashion and school and life. I want to go to the gym; I want my hair to look nice; I want to be allowed to wear jeans. I want to be a normal young woman living in America, sometimes. But I want other things more. All the time. I want to be spiritually and emotionally filled every day. I want to be loved and cuddled by a hundred children and never go a day without laughing.

After a son does the unthinkable, how can a mother go on? On October 2, 2006, a gunman entered an Amish one-room schoolhouse, shooting 10 girls, killing five, then finally taking his own life. This is his mother's story. Not only did she lose her precious son through suicide, but she also lost her understanding of him as an honorable man. It was a trauma that no one should ever have to face.

Story
Every one of us sooner or later walks through hell. The hell of being hurt, the hell of hurting another. The hell of cancer, the hell of a reluctant, thunking shovel full of earth upon the casket of someone we deeply loved, the hell of betrayal, the hell of betraying, the hell of divorce, the hell of a kid in trouble...the hell of knowing that this year, like any year, may be our last. We all walk through hell. The point is not to come out empty-handed.... There is real and profound power in the suffering we endure if we transform that suffering into a more authentic, meaningful life.

Story
Most of us know what it's like to wait for God to change our circumstances. But whether we're waiting for physical healing, an emotional breakthrough, or better relationships, waiting is something we usually try to avoid. Why? Because waiting is painful and hard. The truth is it's also inevitable. In Still Waiting, Ann Swindell explores the depths of why God wants us to wait by chronicling her own compelling story of waiting for healing from an incurable condition.

Life changing
I absolutely loved this book! I’m so excited to share it with my family and friends. Roma’s love for Jesus is so evident and it makes me want to be more purposeful in the way i see and experience him in my everyday life. I think everyone will love this book. I especially loved hearing her voice. It’s better than reading it yourself. The funny this is I’m typing with an Irish accent in my mind. ☘️

Beautifully written and wonderfully read!
Thank you Roma Downey for letting us into your life! I especially liked hearing you tell your story. Maya Angelo is certainly right, I felt your love for humanity! Yes, one day I hope to meet, be it here on this good earth or with our families who are in the presence of Almighty God.

A book of letting go and embracing
Roma is a wonderful story teller, but the discussion of her joys and pains, triumphs and perceived failures reminds us all of how much God loves us and how he will not leave us nor forsake us. Take a walk with her and Jesus as she share her journey with God. It just may change your life, as it did for her.

So moving, so wonderful. The best purchase ever
I always wondered about Roma Downey's story - how she grew up in Ireland, moved to America, and became a huge star in Hollywood. I had some garden work to do today and to motivate myself, I bought this audible reading of 'Box of Butterflies' to listen to. Boy, did I get lucky with this purchase! Her story was so moving and so positive, most of the time, I was in flowing tears thanking God for His Goodness and His tender love. This lady is a true angel in real life. I am going to treasure this audible book and next time I am feeling down, I am going to do some garden work and listen to this wonderful book once again. God bless you, Roma Downey! And God bless Ireland.

Loved this book and so incredible to have it in Roma's own voice. I am inspired and each time I listen to it I get new insights. Have given the book as a gift but really treasure being able to hear her readings. Get the book if you enjoy reading but also get this audible version. A treasure!

A Blessing I Needed
I vaguely remember growing up watching Touched by an Angel, but I had rewatched it in HS and many times in my young adulthood, especially this past year when I needed it the most. So, getting a glimpse into Roma Downey's life has been more than a blessing than she'll ever know.
