Great book, fuzzy audio

Classic story, great performance, but the audio quality could be better. On the quiet side and a bit rough.

Volume Needs To Be Fixed, but Overall Convenient.

had to read it for a class, so it's good to cut down the time and also multi-task. Wasn't a fan of the story because some parts were roundabout and flowery (which personally I would've skimmed through had I been reading it).
Voice acting was pretty great, but I think the editor could've done a better job of fixing sound the volumes. Sometimes it's too loud and sometimes it's too quiet. I, very often, had to turn up my volume to hear the mumbles only to have them blasted out by the "booming"/charismatic voices. But besides that, it's worth the couple bucks.

classic , haunting & timeless

Dickons timeless story of a cruel man facing his past, present & future on Christmas Eve carries on in the haunting and well acted voice of the narrator. I read it several times but it never seems to carry the impact as a proper actor can and make the emotional impact as this story deserves. Excellent all around

wonderful Christmas story

It was a little hard to understand some of it because of the English dialogue (just like all of Dicken's books). Nevertheless, it was a wonderful story. The narration was great! I loved it.

The Classic

The auditory medium is really one of the best ways to digest a book of this kind. At least for me. even though the narrator makes it pretty hard to digest. The classic tale of A Christmas Carol is a Timeless classic that everyone should read. The journey of redemption that Ebenezer Scrooge takes is one that we ought to take every year to remember to live our life to the fullest. The narration in this particular version is not the best. He does very his voice from time to time but overall it sounds garblee.

Lovely classic Christmas story, interestingly read

What made the experience of listening to A Christmas Carol the most enjoyable?

I love the narrator's interesting reading, for the first minute or two, I was just listening to his voice, and then very quickly I forgot the narrator entirely and simply enjoyed his story! I think that is the mark of an excellent story-teller. I could see all the scenes in my head. I think I'll be listening to this version every Christmas! Thank you so much!

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Christmas Carol?

I must admit, I love the part about Tiny Tim the best, and can't ever hear, "God bless us, every one!" without blinking a few tears. Very dear.

What about Peter Bachelor’s performance did you like?

He seems to be a born story-teller, he makes the story interesting, with slightly different voices for characters, and reads with enough expression to be interesting but not so much as to be distracting.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it is 2 hrs and 44 minutes, so it is a long story, but perfect if you're in bed with the flu and don't feel like keeping your eyes open long enough watch TV. You can just close your eyes and enjoy the story.
