Although his prejudice does not last long, Lucius fears his first reaction might have ruined his chances with her. Not very engaging
the writing style isn't to my taste. something about her writing keeps me from being immersed. don't like the main female character. we keep getting reminded of her down and out circumstances. to the point where it's annoying and I don't sympathize with her. and every male character that is not the main male character is portrayed as a possible predator or creep. at least within the first 7 chapters. gives the story a negative atmosphere that doesn't add to the story but detracts. can I get my money back?
