I rank this audiobook at the top. Steve West does a fabulous job!

What did you like best about this story?

The storyline is wonderful. Jude Deveraux writes as I was listening, finding myself thinking the same thing!!! What I liked best about this story is, how the characters realized their short comings and failures, then turned them around. Of course the love between the characters will light a fire in your loins!!

I like all the scenes!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book is one I wish I could listen to all in one sitting!! I almost did!

Any additional comments?

As a christian, I especially loved the references to God. Very touching. I would like to think God is still working in ways that bring the right people together. Being widowed, looking for my end of life partner, this book made me realize I could have appreciated my husband a little bit more. I'm hoping I will have a "second" chance!

This is such an awesome story!

For fans of Jude Deveraux, this is a classic. It's one of the best time travel/romances out there. I read this many years ago, and was delighted to see it in audio. I just wasn't all that fond of the male narrator. He did a pretty good job, but there's just something about a male narrator trying to pull off a crying woman's voice that just makes it sound... well, whiny and cheesy.

But despite that, I listened to the story practically straight through. I had forgotten the awesome ending! I just loved it. Entertaining and endearing.

Now, hopefully Remembrance (my favorite Deveraux's time-travel romance novel) will come out in unabridged audio. I'd hope for that story, the publisher will chose a woman to narrate. It just makes it that much more believable. Justine Eyre would be great for that story!

I'll continue to wait for more vintage Deveraux...

just wonderful

i loved this story,the narration was great,i drove 1000 miles from washington to Las Vegas and the desert flew by i was so immersed in the story.

favorite book, favorite audible

I have read this book several times, I've listened to it on audio cassette tapes rented from the library, and now I've downloaded it and listen to on my morning commute to work. It's one of my favorites. Every woman deserves a Knight in Shining Armour!

Only Romance Novel I Love

When I was younger, in the late 80's, early 90's, my mother was a huge romance novel fan. She was widowed so she read read. I was not a fan, however, she handed me Jude Deveroux's "Knight In Shining Armor", and enticed me to read just one chapter and see, so I did. I was instantly hooked! Time travel, 16th century Knight, troubled young lady just looking for respect and love, not too much mushy stuff, but just enough; it had it all! This is the best romance novel ever! And now I've had it read to me again some 30 years later, and it was fabulous again! Thank you Audible! I recommend this book even for those who don't really like romance novels, but enjoy old English history and/ or time travel. GREAT STORY!

The beginning, especially the audio sample sounds awful! So HAPPY I gave it a chance. The story get better and better, and it has the BEST HEA! =) Wonderful, classic time travel romance which influenced many authors. Yes, it is worth a credit. A must for every romantic! The ending is so worth it =)

One of my absolute favorites!

I love everything Jude Deveraux, but this is the one that started it all! The settings, the characters, the relationships between them…all make this book a must read! As a matter of fact, I revisit it quite often. Don’t hesitate; you will adore it!

Classics Are The Best

It's been years since I read this book. I was thrilled to find it here on Audible. The narrator was absolutely fabulous... and the story? Still swoon worthy after all these years. This story still has the power to make me laugh and cry, cheer and jeer throughout each and every audio page as it was read to me. Ms. Deveraux is a wonderful story teller, a weaver of magical words, each word so dreamy. Thanks to whoever had the foresight to put this on Audible. I'm so happy to have found it and have it as part of my cherished collection of wonderful romances.

I wouldn't mind if more of Ms. Deveraux's Montgomery/Taggert books were available here. Hint. Hint.
