Publisher's summary

After 10 long years of education and residency, Dr. Emmy MacKenzie decides it's time for a much-deserved vacation. But when she's traveling the British Isles, a twist of fate at the gates of the ancient castle of Duart hurls Emmy more than a hundred years into the past and into the arms of a magnificent Highlander who thinks she is his long-lost wife, Heather MacLean.

The 10 years since his new bride abandoned him on his wedding day have brought Connor MacLean, earl of Strathclyde, nothing but misery and bitterness, but that is nothing compared to the anger he feels when she shows up on the 10th anniversary of that day. Determined to punish her for the humiliations she dealt him, he is shocked when his wife insists that she is not his wife at all. Though he tries to cling to his anger, Connor cannot deny the attraction he feels for his mysterious wife, and soon he finds himself wanting nothing more than to take her in his arms and make her his.

When the truth of Heather MacLean's disappearance comes to light, more than just Connor's life could be destroyed. Choices will have to be made. Forgiveness begged. Second chances taken not just for the people of Duart but for Emmy herself.

Loved this book!

I have always love historical time travel romances. This book, "A Laird for All Time" Book 1 is one of the best!. I have already purchased Book 2 and I am looking foward to starting that one! This was the first Angelina Fortin book I have read and I am so glad that I did! Kirsten Potter narrated this book beautifully. I would highly recommend this book.

Good story...

The story was a nice story line. It took me awhile to get into the character do the Narrator. I didn't care for the mood and attitudes that she portrayed them to be in. But all in all, not a bad simple story. I think I'm just spoiled by the Diana Gabaldon Novels of time travel and the Narrator, Davina Porter who could breath life into any character or story. She makes you feel like you are there living in the stories.

Wonderful!

I had my doubts about this story and the narrator when it began. However, it didn't take long for me to get wrapped up in the storyline. The ending brought tears to my eyes. This ended up being a wonderful story. I look forward to reading/listening to more by this author and narrator.

Loved this story

The plot was real enough and surprising enough that it didn’t feel like the same old romance time travel story. And loved the ‘realistic’ way their lives turned out. 😉

Wonderful Story

The best time travel story I've ever had the pleasure of reading! Emmy and Connor seem just perfect for each other and I can't stop laughing at Dory's real name. Can't wait to read book 2!!

Found a new author!

Being a fan of Outlander, I have been hesitant to try other time travel stories. So glad I took a chance on this one! The way Angeline Fortin wrote it, it wasn't at all predictable and even had a few surprises. Kirsten Potter did a great narration. I will definitely look for more books from these talented ladies.
