Publisher's summary

CAITLIN: I'm the only person who cared enough to stick around and raise my little brothers and niece, the only one fighting to keep us together. Never once did I imagine anyone coming to our rescue, let alone a guy like Gabe. He's dangerous. Not just with this risky Robin Hood mission of his, but with the way he somehow gets past all my defenses....

GABE: I'm not a good guy. Even if the bad things I do help good people. The only reason I'm back in town is to right my father's wrongs. My hunt for justice is the only thing I give a damn about. Until I meet Caitlin.... I don't believe in love, never have. But something about this sweet, damaged girl makes me wish I did....

NOTE: This is the first book in the Broken and Jagged trilogy. Previously titled A Love So Dangerous. Same dark, dirty, adrenaline-fueled story, just with a fresh makeover.

What did you like best about this story?

Loved all the characters and the storyline, looking forward to the next book in this series
Narrative was great from both Erin and Lance, really made the storyline come to life for me.
It was made clear from the start that it would end with a cliff-hanger, but OMG.

Review: To The Bone 1: A Love So Dangerous

A Love So Dangerous by Lili Valente is the first book in her To The Bone series. It is hot and steamy without being overly done. The emotions run high, the words carry you away, and you won't be able to get enough of Gabe and Caitlin either. Told in dual POV with a cliffhanger ending this will definitely suck you in.

Caitlin is a good girl who has sacrificed her own future in order to give her three younger brothers and younger niece a better chance at a future than she herself had. Her dad is a drunk, her mom abandoned them ages ago and her sister just up and ran off with her drug dealer leaving her infant daughter behind. Caitlin dropped out of high school so she could work two jobs to keep the kids out of the foster system and has been spinning her wheels ever since.

Gabe has a mission, to right as many of his family's wrongs as possible in the near future. In between, of course, picking up random girls at the nightclub. When a beautiful blond mesmerizes him with her dance he is hooked. Realizing he knows her after they spent time together on the dance floor comes as a shock, but a pleasant one, at least for him, she is just plain SHOCKED that Gabe is dancing and pursuing her.

Loved this - cannot wait to devour more. The characters are New Adult in age and the story reads like a new adult novel. Not to stay it isn't sexy and steamy but they are both in the 20-22 year range so if more mature characters are what you are looking for then I would not recommend this. However, if you enjoy steamy New Adult - LISTEN NOW!!!!!!! The Narrators are absolutely wonderful and manage to embody the characters perfectly!

Dark and romantic all at the same time

This wasn’t quite what I was expecting when I started this book. It’s definitely a bit disturbing, but also super sweet and hearty how Kaitlyn basically fave up her life to take care of her family. Gabe is just a piece of work. That the two of them have this crazy relationship is mind-blowing on its own. But the things they do...just wow. Not to say they aren’t good people, but vigilante justice is kinda out there. They both have their just motivations though, and one you learn more about Gabe - seriously, what does he have to lose? This book seriously takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. And the cliffhanger at the end!!! OMG! The narration is spot on! Erin and Lance just bring the characters to life! Love it! Have to get book 2 right now!!!

Bk 1 -Loving Dangerously

I REALLY enjoyed this book. I loved the whole dark, dirty talking, adrenaline craving ride despite the cliffhanger!

Gabe Alexander comes from a wealthy pedigree but takes chances and lives life on the edge. Then he bumps into an old school friend, Catlin and turns her summer upside down. Together they compliment each other, yet they're from 2 different worlds, live with different family values but the sexual tension is nearly combustible.

Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield worked well together and articulate this novel so well you're immediately looking for book2.

A Love So Good!

Would you consider the audio edition of A Love So Dangerous to be better than the print version?

That's a tough question because I absolutely loved the book, but the audio version definitely brought the story to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Love So Dangerous?

When Gabe and Caitlyn have sex for the first time.

Have you listened to any of Lance Greenfield and Erin Mallon ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't heard them before but I thought that they did a fantastic job reading these characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending when Gabe is trying to end things with Caitlyn. I was difficult to read but heartbreaking to listen to.

Any additional comments?

I love this series and I can't wait to listen to the rest of the books.

Exciting, Dangerous Romance

I really loved this book and the ones that followed. Well worth the listen. Gabe and Caitlin are a modern day "Bonnie and Clyde". The relationship is volatile. Caitlin's dedication to her family and Gabe's dysfunctional one make a great story. The story was awesome and kept me on my toes. It was happy, sad, exciting and scary. The narrators were excellent bringing this story to life.

Like A Thief In The Night

Wow! What a thrilling romance story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Gabe and Caitlin together are so contradictory yet absolutely combustible. Circumstances brought them together but their chemistry is what makes them explode.

It was annoying that this story was broken into a 3 book series when it could just as easily been told in 1 book, 2 at the most.

The narrators were so compelling that I just couldn't stop listening. Erin Mallon is one of my favorite narrators and Lance Greefield blended will with her.

The series is worth the credit maybe 2 credits, but 3 credits is a bit much. But it was worth the reduced price I paid. Can't wait to finish the series.

Kate

The story grabs you and won’t let go. When it ends you have to have book two! It is easy to get drawn into the characters of Carlin and Gabe. Well written and fast moving.

What did you love best about A Love So Dangerous?

What a great series. The writing was solid and the story sucked me in. I'm glad the trilogy was complete because I devoured them all in two days.

The narrators were spot on and captured the two main characters perfectly.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

I'll definitely be looking for more books from this author as well as books narrated by Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield.

Fascinating and compelling

Fascinating story with likable characters. Gabe isn’t the bored, entitled rich boy and Caitlin isn’t the naive girl from the wrong side of the tracks. They are not perfect, far from, but that makes me even like them more. Often it is difficult for me to get into books with very young main characters (probably because I ‘m old enough to be their mum) but in this case I had no problem at all.
