Publisher's summary

Miss Marple meets Oscar Wilde in this new series of cosy mysteries set in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Bunburry.

In "A Murderous Ride," the second Bunburry book, Alfie discovers that he has not only inherited a cottage from his late Aunt Augusta but also a 1950s Jaguar. He is dismayed: for reasons of his own, he no longer drives. Aunt Augusta's best friends, Liz and Marge, persuade him to get behind the wheel again - but that's just the start of his troubles. Alfie discovers it's a seriously bad idea to get on the wrong side of the local police sergeant. Especially when he finds himself at a murder scene and the sergeant decides Alfie's the murderer. There's only one thing to be done. Alfie has to track down the real murderer himself - which will force him to drive as he's never driven before.

Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer 'Flash' Gordon in the LWT mini-series "Piece of Cake". He is also the lead in the BBC series "Inspector Lynley Mysteries", based on the novels by Elizabeth George. Nathaniel Parker has an extensive list of audio books to his credit, ranging from the classics of Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy to more modern writings and children's books.

Delightful!

I’m enjoying this series. It has such an array of delightful characters and storyline. Want to find the book that tells about his married life and tragic event taking him to Bunburry.

Love this new series!

I totally love this new series! The characters are awesome and I am so happy that I can just do a short mystery at a time when I don’t have the extra time to do a long book!

Good cozy

I wish there were more Bunburry Audiobooks. I enjoy them. The characters are great, the narrating is wonderful and the stories are true cozies, no violence. The main character, Alfie, is a treasure.

Exactly what it says - a cosy mystery

Thoroughly enjoyed the narrator - very soothing voice to listen to.
Engaging story with enough to keep you interested without being too intense or demanding.

Loving this cozy series ..

These stories are like mini-munchies -- a couple or three hours and you've had the full ride, smiles, laughs, intrigue, mystery -- all in a nibble size story that will take you thru an evening with a glass of wine. They are, in a word, charming.

Wish these were full length novels, but love them.

The characters and stories are so enjoyable. I like joining a little community and spending time with them. Having well developed characters and a good actor makes listening a treat!

Nice Cozy Mystery

This is a quick listen with interesting characters and a great narrator. The plot remains interesting until the “who done it?” Ending.

Not as good as the first book by far, but not bad

Not nearly as entertaining and richly described as the first installment in the series, almost seeming rushed to be released. I missed the characters of Liz and Marge in most of this story. Still, narrated beautifully by Nathaniel Parker and fun to listen to.
